A true industry legend.
i Love Betty hutton!!!
Betty Hutton professional life was marvelous. Her personal life was heartbreaking until she found God, Father McGuire and herself around 1975. She found a whole new life for the second half!! I had never seen this clip. She did the hits from her films Good for her!!👍👍
Not sure if many people know that she had throat surgery after making The Greatest Show On Earth 1952. They found some polyps on her vocal chords. It did affect her singing voice after that. A barrel of energy. Love Betty Hutton.
60 years ago when this program was on tv. Thank u for the wonderful viedo!!! and that's it for now.
What a performer!!!
Betty never lost her spark
Underappreciated all-around talented LEGEND.
You are so right. She deserves to be far more remembered.
She was such an amazing talent...and beautiful too. She has a very tough life but never lost her energy or laughter.
Here in 1964 Betty is stunning, fabulous, gorgeous and wonderful.
What a tremendous, natural talent. Listen to her sing "It Had to Be You" 02:52 - think anyone could pull that off? Think again! I feel so bad for her, she made tens of millions for Paramount and they blacklisted her just because she asked them to let her husband direct her in a film. Just three years after this was made, she was watching her husband Pete Candoli perform on TV and when his number was over he announced in front of millions he was divorcing her and marrying Edye Adams. Betty had no idea; soon after she was penniless, homeless and her kids walked out of her life forever, except for a brief reunion 1978-80. So sad.
I don’t understand why her children left her again? And didn’t attend her funeral?
@@jackchen7003 One of Betty's last friends gave an interview shortly after she died and said his interactions with her kids were really "not good." Sounds like they were just vindictive and horrible. Even her grandkids were grown up by the time she was old yet never bothered to have lunch with her. Grandma's a world famous star, weren't they even curious to know her and draw their own conclusions? Horrible kids.
She had this energy in her 60's too...She was one of a kind! I love her hyper personality!
Me too!
Bob Hope really hit the nail on the head when he described this lovely soul as 'A vitamin pill with legs".
She was a force of nature. They used to play a recording of this on the old Wnew radio station in NYC, when I was growing up.
AMAZING ENTERTAINER!
Wow what an absolute stunner she was.
SIMPLY AMAZING!-!!!
Betty was great! I love this clip!
This gives us a glimpse of Betty in top form in her nightclub act. She was beginning to have trouble at this time but it doesn't show here.
Wow! What a firecracker!
i sure love Betty's singing of "it had to be you!!! with the strings and the band. please write back and reply please , thank u.
I saw her sing part of Murder in the picture LA Confidential. And it was as absolutely the sexiest performance I'd ever seen and I didn't know who she was.
LIKE HER BUT ADORED DALE ROBERTSON!
Dale Robertson never truly received the acclaim and notoriety that was due him! Many other Western Stars and Motion Picture Stars are all over the place. Dale was 1 of a kind with a military background second to none. I wish TV would show more of.his Movies and his other TV shows! He may be gone..but NEVER FORGOTTEN! SPECIAL GUY!
❤
Judy Garland she was NOT!
but no one else was Betty
And never said she was or claimed to be. They were totally different except that Betty was a much better choice for Annie Get Your Gun. Love them both.
The Beatles couldn't get here fast enough, as far as I was concerned. Synthetic human beings on their agents' strings, puppets of pabulum.
Never cared for the Beatles at all. They ruined American music .
WTF?! Everybody loves the stars of old Hollywood. The guests on this show weren't Rock N Roll stars. I love Nostalgia.
@@dpf5939 05/18/24: Good for you. Take a bow!
The unforgettable Betty Hutton.
