Though it doesn't seem like it time moves with us and there is always more of it so don't feel strapped for time.
You will have the time to do all that you want and all that you need.
You will find your balance and it will get easier, it's great that you got to create new memories with them and they will last for a lifetime 💕
We get into this mindset that we can just put everything off for another day or another time and we end up missing all the precious moments we didn't realize we need, however it's not too late to start again and try again to make the best of the beautiful moments that make up life.

As an immigrant myself I could relate to the feelings of becoming a sort of stranger in your hometown when you return to visit, as well as coming to the realization that you might not return there to settle down. The feeling of alienation and guilt can be even worse if the people back home went thru a cataclysmic event and you weren't there.
But one the other hand, you are living your own life, you have your own set of uncertainties and challenges that you face bravely on your own. That too takes strength and makes strength.
And please forgive me for being presumptuous but with an outsider's perspective I perceive how your experience might hearken back to the experience of your far or close ancestors who first came to America... is that farfetched?
