PPAF's Distance Learning Initiative in Kalasha Valleys

  • Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), in collaboration with Elementary and Secondary Education Foundation (ESEF), KP and TeleTaleem initiated a project to bridge the learning gap in four community schools. These four schools were supported by PPAF, with the financial assistance of Italian Agency for Cooperation and Development (AICS), under the Programme for Poverty Reduction (PPR). The objective of the project is to provide quality education to remote areas of Pakistan where the population lives in scattered segments, amidst rocky terrains and harsh climatic conditions. The schools supported under the project include:
    Community Based School Shakahandeh, Village Bumburiht, Kalash, UC Ayun, Chitral
    Community Based School Grambat Gol, Village Birir, UC Ayun, Chitral
    Community Based School, Village Kalashgram, Rumbore, UC Ayun, Chitral
    Community Based School Anangor Khwar/Anwar Abad, UC Koto, Lower Dir A
