When it comes to emotion,
makes me start choking
so I, sit by the ocean
spent my last buck on a bottle of whiskey
drunk and broke
sittin' here in history
I made my mind up
How I'm going
I got no where to go
don't know where I'm going
I do know one thing
one thing that is true
wherever I go, I'm gonna need you
we just cant let each other go now
we're too close, to ever slow down
the only one who keeps my chin up
when you touch my lips we're like two dogs stuck
cold, cold beer
don't you ever worry
I am right here
never live without you
don't care what I amount to, no.
talkin' bout cold cold beer
don't you ever worry, I am right here
can't ever live without you
I pick you up
I take you home
sit on my couch, turn off my phone,
cuz I love your taste, love your smell
who would ever thought that we could do so well
hell, I guess we're meant for each other
sorta like the microphone and my buddy Bruce Buffer
I can't really express my joy
sorta like a scrap between Osgood and Patty Roy
I cant take my eyes off you
went to rehab, thought that I lost you
but now we're are back together, with a vengeance
must be my little, Irish descendance .
it feels pretty good, to get this off my chest
even though people sayin, Jesse's obsessed
well maybe I am, maybe their right
one thing that I know, it was love at first sight.
Yeah, cold cold beer
don't you ever worry I am right here
can never live without you
i wouldn't even want to
cold, cold beer
don't you ever worry
i am right here
never live without you
you don't care what I amount to
Well I'm sitting on my stoop feelin' kinda lonely
me and Brenda fightin' so I call up the homies
but guys busy hangin' out in front of Sobey's
there's only one little fella who really knows me
he comes in a little brown, bottle or can
sits in my hand til I can barely stand
he's part of the family, he's part of the team
Took me under his wing when I was just a teen
every time he comes around he always,
takes me back to when I had a fake ID, and a little dirt stash
Get a road soak, cold pop, two-four, wob pop, pop top, twist top, tall boy, cold shot
BEER, cold, cold beer
don't you ever worry, I am right here
never live without you
you don't care what I amount to,
Oh cold beer,
don't you ever worry,
I am right here can't ever live without you
I wouldn't even want to - Hudba

Rest In Peace to one of my good friends, Jesse Shea Stewart. July 18, 1990 - November 22, 2021
I wish I could have done better for you as a friend here in Edmonton, I consider you my best friend. You and Arlo and Evan this summer, banjo and acoustic at the river, 15 packs of beers in July, just jamming and basking in the sun. And when we’d order skip and watch Rick and Morty and you’d sing to your own songs on CZcams to me in my living room ugh Arlo on the couch. I’m really gonna fucking miss you. I hope Arlo makes it home safe to your mama and most of all, you as well. Safe travels and may you Rest In Peace with the creator. Jesse. Until we meet again. 🖤 Sunshine
Came here looking for something like this. Can’t believe it’s true.
MY condolences to you for your loss.
I think, through his passionate art, many of us who happened upon it here and elsewhere feel a kinship to him but even as saddened as I am by this news it is undoubtedly a huge loss for those who considered him a true friend or loved one.
From the east coast, where I know he has touched many souls, my heart goes out to you and to anyone reading this
@@Downs-Indroam I’m the only edmontonian that cared and I’m looking for his dog Arlo today and getting her back to BC to his mother so she can live out her senior years with her like he would have wanted. @@Downs-Indroam I know Arlo like the back of my hand when Jesse stayed at my place in July, his service dog for seizures. She’s so smart. Once I get her back before she grabs him and her in a week, I’m gonna look at her and take care of her and cherish the good old days of us watching Rick and Morty and ordering skip the dishes and flying signs on medians. Watching Black widow together with my favourite restaurant’s spicy tonkatsu ramen. I had so much fun jamming and chilling and hustling and walking around with him and Arlo. So much I could say. This video single-handedly changed my taste in music. Years later I still get drawn to Jesse's music with an absolute need once I get the itch to listen. He was an amazing song writer and had the GIFT of music and heart. Forever classics that patina with time getting better and better. As my life and struggle continues and evolves so does my relationship with his stories he told as only he could. The wold has lost a great soul. I hope all of his fans keep his memory alive for decades to come and keep sharing his music and revisiting it to make sure his struggle was not in vain or to be forgotten. We have lost too many good people and we need to honor them. Too many too young too robbed of opportunity. We need to do better as friends and family and try to help each other more. These cycles of addictions and traumas and pains need to be broken and it starts with the individual. God Bless Jesse and RIP to all who are lost but not forgotten.

Of course he's talented but it really wrenches my heart to see someone playing a song like that while everyone's waiving their beers and cheering and hyping him up - an upbeat song wit a cheeky edge while the lyrics are sharing his deep addiction.. everyone is pumped to hear it. To me its the same energy as in Hey Ya by Outcast when he stops sharing his heartbreak and says "Yall don't really wanna hear me, you just wanna dance"
The lyrics honestly hit you in your gut if you've dealt with addiction:
-Never live without you, don't care what I amount to...
-Couldn't live without you, wouldn't even want to...
-Went to rehab, thought that I lost you, but now we're back together with a vengeance...

I was just thinking the same thing! As I do when listening to the late, great Woody Guthrie! How could anyone who emblazons his guitar with "THIS MACHINE KILLS FASCISTS" not be punk?!?
I think cave men once banged on (literal) skins with greater force and with more passionate abandon than the others from the tribe. Punk--as a spirit, an ethos, an instinct for rhythmic aggression--has been around FOREVER. And the best of it is often found in unlikely places!
@Ianoodin folk punk=big peepee for sure
RIP Jesse. Spent many days slamming beers and whisky to this song. Some days good , some bad , some heartbreak days , this song really helped. Rest easy
jesus man, who's cuttin' onions?
Tappin on my beer belly to this song.. RIP jesse. Great tunes my friend 🍻
A legendary moment like this can never be recreated. Coming straight from the soul.
True, you cant fake pure passion...
The studio recordings do not come close.
Bruh sings like life depends on it…chills every time
Just a man expressing his struggle while everyone laughs about their own. This song will always bring a tear to my eye.
The thunder!! Some God stuff here!! Bless you my brother…loving this💋❤️🔥❤️
Came back just to hear a song that always brought a smile to my face only to learn about his passing. Treasure your moments on this earth as our time is fleeting. Here's a cold beer to all the souls listening to this in 2022.
💯
Cheers to jesse
Damn really ? Buddy is dead now?
Idgaf what happened or even if it is true now dont matter now anyway
Damn in commenting on a wrong song and a differrent artist in the first place
"Like two dogs stuck together. . ."
One of the most beautiful love songs of our time. Total sincerity.
Still a better love story than Twilight.
@Crazy Jesse The bitch locks that shit down wit dem vice grip lips lmao. "Get the cold water!"
It's two ducks stuck
@Crazy Jesse as Jessie mentioned the words in that are not all correct and that's one of them... The songs written by Donnie dumphy and it goes like two ducks stuck.
dognott says, "TWO THUMBS UP!!"
Seen this dude in Elliot lake Ont a few years back, came to the show late as hell, but he absolutely crushed his set. Im thankful our small town had a chance to see great talent.
Every now and then, CZcams hits you with a suggestion of something that will stick with you forever. This is an example of that
Yep same here
You can tell watching him sing that he isn’t just performing. He’s expressing. That’s why he died young. He was really about that life. R.I.P.
He does young because America is sick. I would have died as well hopping freight drinking squatting. It's a way rougher life in the US than in Europe. Saw more people die than most elderly have. Being a street kid.
@@paleface4404 He was Canadian, lived and died in Canada.
@@Moleskineman I was hoping this was the next comment.
The mind of an artist can be a very tortured place.
@@paleface4404Fact check before yah burp.
Merry Christmas or whatever you celebrate much love R.I.P Jesse
Merry Christmas, m8

R.I.P. Jesse. I’ve been playing this song for the past 4 years every so often with a nice cold beer. I’ll pour one out for you brother.
Yo man would you mind sharing the chords I'd love to learn this I have a shit ear for getting chords from listening tho.
@@fergal95 iirc its just A minor, C, G, F
When did he pass away
@@honeycaponeyproductions.9885 last December.
Sorry to hear about Jesse
Hope you rest peacefully with lots of cold beer
The last time I really listened to this song I was an angry alcoholic, mad that i did everything right and got treated so wrong aswell as broke and homeless. That was about 4-5yrs ago now, and now I am married to the love of my life with my own business here living in Japan I love and care for and now fight with positive rather than the dark and look forward to the days as much as the night! 乾杯🍻 Keep fighting for what you believe in truly and one day it will all be right. 頑張って
Inspiration my man! Keep it up!
The One cheers bradda i am not a perfect person, but I know now the value and possibilities in becoming a better person no matter where you are in life! Last night i was with my in/laws who are Japanese and don’t know a lick of English and I have my shit Japanese but i feel there love. It’s a much better feeling then being alone or those that don’t care. Sometimes we are rewarded in the simplest ways.
Hell yea, I'm finna be homeless
Ryan Harvey i wish you the best for me it was a big wake up call and spiritual journey. There are levels to it, but there is always a way out!
Thank you for that
The good die too young. Just found Jessie today, so sad to hear that he's passed... Rest in Peace beautiful human.
Love this song. Even if it's incredibly sad. RIP Jesse you live on in us all
As an alcoholic this almost made me cry Jesus what am I doing
Brett Giroux Are you okay? Like do you need someone to talk to?
@@dank-memes-and-broken-drea7712 Yes he does and no one better to talk to him like "Dank-memes- and-broken-dreams". You're an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting personified I bet. Jesus fucking christ.

@Dan O' Damn dude I gotta write this down
@Dan O' now thats some philosophy i can get behind

Devastated to find out this man died and on the street of all places. I thought I would see him everywhere after hearing this song. Internal pain effects everyone and personal struggles can get the better of us. Rest in peace Jesse Stewart thank you for the music
I don’t think his buddies knew just how much of a special moment that they were a part of with Jesse playing his heart out. I guess we seldom do recognize something this special when it’s happening. RIP brother.
I get chills every time this video plays.

I went to high school with Jesse. He was a great guy. I remember partying with him many times and skating (he longboarded) and he was one of the most friendly people I had ever met. It's very sad that he passed.
forever will be in my heart jesse hope ur still rocking in the sky
I love how the video just starts with him already playing. Who ever is recording thought "shit I need to capture this moment!"
vegetto101 I’m glad he decided to record it!
Lost my brother on November 16th, checking out his CZcams history, he played this song over 2500 times. He really enjoyed your energy. Stay pure, enjoy your experience.
And now Jesse went to see him :(
may he Rest In Peace, I’m sorry for your loss, sure he was a hell of a guy if he found enjoyment in this song
How do you see how many times you watched a video?
I'm very sorry for your loss of your brother, however, this song seems to really encourage addiction to alcohol and basically giving up to happy life that could be brought on by anything healthy. I find it traumatizing actually. Your name is Scottish right? I wonder if you and your brother have stayed close to your culture, heritage and lineage? I believe it is a cure to feeling lost and just roaming around, potentially even help prevent addiction.
@@daandemeyer1708 pretty sure you cant
Rip Jesse, this song will live on for sure.
