some things in life exceed time and space and reach a higher level of being. we as humans, i think, do this with art. if we all got destroyed tomorrow, art is the best thing we will have achieved. and the way this song is being sung by Simone here seems to me like it reaches beyond regular art. if aliens or higher beings would listen, they would also be able to capture the emotion in this song. it’s wild.

I can use my own life as an example. I had already lost my father when I was 12, and now I've lost my mother too. It's been four months without her. Made my eyes fill with tears, beautiful melody and beautiful voices, especially Simone's :) I like this type of songs and videos way much more than the newer ones, for instance Unleashed or Storm the sorrow. Those have better audio and image quality, yes, but these older videos don't distract you with cool effects from the music. This dvd goes straight to my wishlist!
