I am so impressed. Out of all the quilting videos I have watch your's is the best. You are so thorough and so fluid and sweet as can be. Thank you for sharing your trials and errors to perfect this very special quilt. (My favorite).

Thank you for a great tutorial. I knew I would never finish one of these quilts "in my life-time" so I bought most of the blocks I need to make a quilt. All the blocks are vintage fabrics hand-stitched by someone I don't even know, but I love her for sewing them. I'll only have to make the "path." I may have time to finish it "in my life-time. :) :)

Amazing tutorial!! I haven't quilted in decades, but after seeing this video, I am so inspired to pick it back up.
My daughter and neice have both had fertility problems for many years, and they are now both pregnant (within weeks one one another)! They wished, since early childhood, they would have children at the same time, so they could grow up together and become best friends as they did.
This Grandmother's Flower Garden would be a lovely gift for these upcoming mommies and their babies. ♡
Thank you ever so much for sharing this!! ♡

I lover her templates and videos. She gave me courage to do the double wedding ring.. and to my surprise I was able to make the quilt - 2 times. The grandmothers flower garden is the next one I want to try.. .. hopefully this video helps as much as the double wedding ring video

This is a fantastic time saving method while still individually piecing the blocks, not a GFG lookalike block like some tutorials I’ve seen online.

Nicely done however I find it far easier and faster to do by hand the reazt Grandma did. I love the feeling of a completely hand made quilt.

I do too! I didn't even know I was making a Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt when I created my own design with the hexagons. Now, I can make the hexies in no time flat and fill a box of them. I enjoy it so much as I travel and it's easy to do on the road. Then I make whatever I want. I actually enjoy sewing them all together by hand. It's fun to do and fun to watch it come together.

I'm trying to figure out how to join my flowers to each other without the triangle and the other little piece she's using

Personally I can't see how this method is quicker than hand sewing. I can sew these hexagons at any time, whilst travelling, whilst watching TV, whilst sitting at any time without getting the sewing machine out. It seems such a ' stop and start method' but each to their own!

Brenda Fleming Don't be mean. Some ppl are simply used to professional presenters. Hopefully, one day, that is what we will have online and the rest will have washed out. It would be nice if presenters didnt just stand in front of a camera and blab off the top of their heads and if they didnt look like they just tumbled out of bed. However, this presenter isnt blubbering on about her hubby, kids, cats, etc and despite her poor voice quality she is teaching without extraneous chatter. Oops! Spoke too soon! Guess you cant have everything. 🙄

I was glued to this video!!! You made everything look very simple. I have made several quilts (including double wedding ring). I saved this so I can watch many more times. You pressed through and conquered a very complex problem that you solved. If I ever get that courage for myself it will be because of this video. Thank you for sharing your hard work. I love the hexagon quilts, but I will probably do the hand sewing. I love hand sewing and I have the time. I tend to make to many mistakes and have multiple redos with machine. You are a big inspiration to me.
