    To me at 15:50 that lovely round pot was a sure winner. I absolutely liked the way it was evenly balanced out. From the movements of the tree, to the color of the bark, and the balanced tones of the leaves.

    14:40 is perfect. The base of the tree is too rugged and gnarled for those shiny, symmetrical pots. The style and shape of that pot matches it perfectly and will contrast well with the bright colorful leaves.

    Hello Corin. That’s was a really interesting video. My opinion is blue to green colour and style wise I think a case can be made for any. What was really interesting was how the pot colour can enhance the the trunk colour. Personally I like blue pots. But perhaps in my quest to learn more I should try experimenting more. I am planning to visit the nursery in the spring long round trip but I am sure it will be worth it.

    What a great little video, and perfectly illustrates how several different styles of pots can work with a tree depending on personal tastes and whether you want to emphasise the foliage or the bark, and complement or contrast. This tree looked great in several of those pots - I personally particularly liked the ones matching the trunk colour.

  • @Paul-sk7px
    @Paul-sk7px Před 3 lety

    The cream-glaze hexagonal pot at 13:18 won it for me. When the atropurpuream is in leaf, the pot colour compliments the foliage and the rounded edges compliment the flow of the tree. It's also not too expressive so as to overwhelm the composition in winter when the tree's bare.
    I wondered about the complimentary hexagonal pot at 12:45. You're not going to like me saying this, and it's a matter of personal taste of course, but the grey glaze patina looks like water damage (if you're in a hard water area at least!). I'm sure it's a lovely pot seen first hand, but that swung it for me.
    Great video Corin. I learned a lot from this - thank you.

  • @BR1NNA
