- Episode 7..
Henry defends a nurse accused of murdering an elderly patient who added her to his will two days before his death. Unfortunately, she's determined to speak out and clear her name no matter what Henry says.
The Brief follows the work of defence barrister Henry Farmer (Alan Davies), whose complicated personal life manages to overlap into his work. With an overbearing workload, debt and alimony payments to meet, as well as being in love with the wife of a prominent politician who won't leave her husband for him, Henry is forced to set his own demons to one side to tackle cases that only he can win. The show was described by the Radio Times as an "engaging blend of courtroom drama, suspense, intrigue and humour".

I like the music and light-heartedness of the show.🌹

Lovely ambience, interesting story. What a gem
Wonderful, uplifting episode! They’re all so human: venal, selfless, greedy, generous, flawed & valiant. . . despite Munchausen- by-proxy there’s also justice for Mo .
I’m so glad l found this series. Lost track of Alan Davies with Jonathan Creek and never knew of him otherwise. . .
You haven't been watching QI?
Great acting an wonderful episode ❤ many thanks for sharing ❤🙏🙋♀️
A top notch legal drama that goes beyond the law. Alan Davies is excellent as the silk with a gambling addiction.
Loved all thanks
Your welcome
Excellent 5 🌟☮️.
The social emphasis on deviance is clever. The show demonstrates all the sadness.
Wow ! great movie and the upload was good too.
Another goodie!
Very GOOD 😊.
Take you in all directions.
Brilliant series 😊.
The disorder she has, was a big focus twenty odd year's ago.

Here's a man who makes loads of money from being a barrister- and he's fucking it up with gambling!
One of my favourite actors Omar Shariff was a high stakes gambler, a story by told by him set in Venice: He had a big win, bought the complete contents of a flower shop, had it delivered to a young lady's hotel room. Some films he starred in, all his earnings went to pay off gambling debts.
To each his own Jonsie. Remember Lucie and Desi Arnez? His horse racing took everything they had. Both died poor.
Wish this series had more episodes . It’s hard to find good shows. I’ve seen all of them now.
Anyone here have other recommendations of good British series to view? I need something to take my mind off the craziness in this world now.
Have you seen Prime Suspect with Helen Mirren?
@@witlof5492 No. I will check it out. Thank you for the suggestion.
Check out Vera. Just finished binge watching all the episodes. Wish there were more.
@@georgiahogue8588 thank you! ❤️ I’ll look into it.
@@georgiahogue8588 Was just going to suggest Vera ! I'm watching one episode every other day to make it last... but, even being a miser, I've still got to season 10 ! 😫😫😫 Whatever shall I do when I'm all done?!! 😭😭😭
Be careful of which layer you choose, mate!
the pretty Liverpool chicck from Brookside ! We need this in HD
So...a hero of making justice no matter what!? Why is he speaking on cell phone while cycling!?
Is is illegal? He's not in a car.
@@soniavadnjal7553 Yes...To put the others in danger...
@@soniavadnjal7553 It wasn't in 1984 when these were made.
Did they have cell phones in '84?
@@binebum1 No, but the plot is more recently....dig in please...
Good story, just painful to have to hear Jennifer Ellison speak!
don't they ever holler OBJECTION in GB courts?
rarely, because they know how to conduct themselves....seriously though, of course they do, this is just tv. If you want to see how they are more true to life have a look at the series on here which is enacted but the procedures are real. The people and the legal teams/judge are played by actors but the jury is played by ordinary citizens who then deliberate and return a verdict as if it was a real court. Called "Crown Court"
@@PetroicaRodinogaster264 Thanks! Good idea! (Poppy petals sounds lovely...)
Jennifer Ellison was like Britney with her inner Chucky getting out:-). I also wonder about her accent, it was amazing... From Liverpool? She's an interesting actress, so little seen around though.
Wasn’t she in the film of Phantom?
one of the top 10 series i've ever watched
Im glad you like it
He just has the most amazing head of hair:)
The tear ducts are in the inner corners of the eye, not the outer.
Just started watching this one.
Morphine? Is not dangerous.
Imagine patients without it
Some people are allergic to it though 😢.
As though they give a fuck. I wish we had that here.
They’re not marked in order
It would be so much easier to watch this great series in chronological order, had you numbered the episodes 1 to 8 in the titles.
This episode is not even numbered in the description.
Yes, they are!

Nope!! Not here!!
G+
Love this show! Thank you...but, oh gosh...listening to that blonde nurses accent is painfull.
Series 2 episode 3
Was that a David Walliams appearance in the yellow car??
I thought that was one of the barrister's 2:59 in the office that overtook Henry Farmer (Alan Davis) on his bicycle?
Watch the neck.
Voices don't go with mouths
Hmmmm ummm isn't Alice not the woman that had the U.K. reality show DANCE MUMS 😮
I'LL YET MY HAT😅if it's not her.
They were scouser 😮😱.
This programme was released in 2004.
So it fits🥵😳🥵😲
Beware gamblers lol
The nurse was insufferable right from the start.
fit nurses.
if they stuck with the courtroom stuff it would be brilliant. Sorry to say it is more of a very boring soap opera. No wonder it failed.
Scouse accent was her greatest impediment...
ชๆ
I may need counseling or something, I can't stand the accents, from CANADA I'm out
Yup...you need counciling ...it seems Canadians are just the best
Have you heard your accent 😢😮😅
