  • With unprecedented access to Britain’s busiest legal aid practice, The Briefs takes us into the cut-throat world of criminal law. The Briefs follows the skilful lawyers of Tuckers in Manchester, as they look after their clients on cases ranging from blackmail to murder. The lawyers cover everything from taking on a case where a 63 year old woman is accused of drug dealing to a poet accused of benefit fraud. This is how justice really works.

It's funny how people will say that legal aid takes x amount of money. Which is nothing in comparison to mps claiming just food. They're allowed 250 to 300 each, a week.
Add that up. That's not including thier travel, hotels, pay for going abroad..
Benefits and other aid isn't the issue here.

He should have just taken the 250,000$ and the possible sacking of the two officers involved when it was offered. To me that was a definite admittance of their guilt and I would have been satisfied with hurting them financially and having ruined those officer’s career a hard win for him . Guess he forgot about his previous arrest .

Sometimes the American system confuses me.i suppose it's diffrent in each state. But I was watching something & they were entitled to legal aid for the first time.but then basically left to defend themselves. It's scary.
Right I am going to watch this now, sounds intresting.

@@skullrose.665 I understand the situation. The system has different levels of good and bad. What if the most deadliest serial killer who never got caught, is a cop? Or Military? So smooth they even taunt police with letters and stuff. Like BTK. Cops didn't catch him! He turned himself in. After 30+ years and bathed in people's blood. He killed a lot people. But there he was! All time! Like nothing! Living his fake life as an Assistant Pastor in the church from his Town. Crazy...pffff... Wow! Unbelievable. I know the system like the back of my head. And I can 👂 hear a lie like pin drop. If I was a cop and he didn't give his gun when requested, pppfffff, with evidence at ✋ hand about the case,..... It was him.

Steven this is your 20th case for god sake !!! YOU NEED HELP AKA PSYCHIATRIC CARE in a big way. I believe that you're not the victim in any of your cases. Anyone who has this many cases for domestic issues most definitely has a problem. The responsible thing to do is getting yourself much needed therapy and really its a matter of you having a duty to yourself to get therapy.
