Nice job not only on the repair, and ancillary repairs, but also the video production. Quickly learning what a pain trying to video projects really is. We paint our parts and repairs too. Makes the real paint job later much easier since access to those areas are always limited.

great video! also during diag. check filler hole-p.s. fluid for bubbles as this is a sure sign, air is leaking into the system. also check shaft where seals run for wear. also a square tube wide front complicate moving radiator because mounting bolts underneath don't have enough room to drop out. keep these great video's coming !!

Tyler actually used several fittings together to adapt the pressure gauge. You will have to take the bolt from the control valve and your gauge to a local hardware store to find the necessary fittings - we do not carry them here at Steiner Tractor Parts.
You could take the weights off, but maybe you want to do a front end rebuild video as well

I just bought a 1958 JD 730. Did all John Deere two cylinders with power steering have a dip stick as you demonstrated? Mine has a pipe plug & no vent hole.
We have not been able to confirm this :(
I put a thin film of neverseize on the splines when I rebuilt my fan.
Along the same note...What is the correct way to install the vane seals in the cylinder vanes?
