When you mentioned that the firing order you pointed out on the cap the 1-2-3 then you said the cylinders on the motor are 1-2-3 but you did not have the camera positioned properly to see what end was one?
Good headache saving tips!… my 730 didn’t have an original fuel gauge and I nothing to go by… thanks
My Case 930 CK PTO runs constantly, whether engaged or not. Think it may be a clutch issue. Thanks for this video!
Just recently got a oil dipstick for you and it came in too weeks ahead of time so I am very happy with it thanks great job hope to do business with you all again love it works great 👍
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us James!
My spring is broken too on my 50. What is the part number?
I believe this is the spring you're looking for :-)www.steinertractor.com/JDS1070-Speed-Change-Spring-Governor-Spring
Thank you to all the Fallen Soldiers who died serving. Thank you to all currently serving, god bless and godspeed. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🙏
My 841 had the tool box on the left floorboard. I notice this one doesn't
4555 John Deere tractor seat doesn't float
Fantastic! What silver did you use on the exhaust system?
We're not really sure as this video was created by someone else. Sorry!
Mine is the one without power steering, and has a lever below the steering wheel which you pull up to engage the PTO, this looks like a different model. Is this the same as mine?
I would recommend checking your owners manual for additional information.
maybe just me tried wire brush tried on stater with wood rod. finally had to tear it apart 1963 ford 4000 no magnets was springs and rust inside so think just to dirty but its cleaned up and fixed now
You would have to take it off the starter first :)
You skipped over how to get the clutch pack back in the cup on the tractor.
I believe that should be covered in the manual :-)
Thanks Max
Great job 👏 Mr. Max 😅
Keep the stories coming
Looks Good - What paint gun & tip did use?
We are not sure what was used on this... I would reach out to a local painter to see if they have suggestions.
I am here trying to find how to remove and install the clutch arm as the oil seal has failed and now its leaking oil.
I would suggest a repair manual to assist with this repair.
Good video the M sounds better than new!!
I'm kinda new to these Antique JDs. Trying to find more in on connecting hydraulics to my 46 A Slant Dash. Can't find info any where. Could you assist with a video?
We will add that to the list of suggestions. :)
What winter, just mud.
Amen to a early spring!! My chickens and I are all tired of Winter!!!
Sounds good 👍🇺🇸
Ok
Farmall Fanatic is in the house!
Outstanding!… this is the demo I’ve been looking for! Got a 730 with a blown up PTO assembly. It was likely run extensively with PTO housing full of 90w. When I filled the transmission, it quickly leaked through the oil pump and filled the PTO housing and, poured out the PTO shaft seal. Really been dreading this job! Watching somebody else do it first always makes an unfamiliar repair job go a lot easier!
How about an 850?
We will add the 850 to a list of suggestions on upcoming videos.
Do you know what the part numbers are? @SteinerTractorParts
The REP3247 manual would be helpful in locating part numerous parts (some that we offer - some that are only available at the dealer).
*Promo SM*
I did this while still on the starter shaft. Worked like a charm! Held starter up to bench grinder and she slid right back into place.
I'm going to try this
@@dj-nr8nm did it work for you as well?
Will I have to say Sir that you pretty much saved my life today with your little video.... I appreciate it more than you know. That worked perfectly !!
Thank you guys. That flag Tractor is very Beautiful.
I appreciate your video. You provided a lot of knowledge for me ....with helping remove the power steering pump. Thank you.
Just installed on a 52 B. Have no spark. Where do I start trouble shooting? Watched your video and think I did it right.
I’m having the same problem on my 320. Followed the directions, still no spark. What did you find out was the problem? I’am completely baffled.
Used a dremel to spin mine, taped a sanding drum to couple it. Then, put it on a rod in a vice. Solid fix thank you.
You done a awesome job on that tractor
please explain how to remove three bolts holding assembly in paticular the bottom bolt
It is kind of tough to get to this bolt... You would need open end 3/4" wrench and patience :)
Is that steering wheel solid steel? Will a magnet stick to it? Or is there a thick vinyl/plastic insulation over it ?
The MMS028 steering wheel has a vinyl coating over it.
Any helpful hints or fixes on a seat that is leaning forward real bad?
We would suggest replacing the torsion springs :)
@SteinerTractorParts thank you, after further investigation I think some of the bars are worn as well
Can you tell me if you have to preheat the drawbar before welding ? I want to do a similar repair but use this tractor so want it good.
It is not necessary to preheat before repairing :)
Spectacular
Do you sell any parts for a Hoyt Clagwell?
We do not :(
excellent
You can also take a dental pick and follow each groove down until you find the one with the lock tang. Wiggle around and twist the starter gear the way you want it to go and it will release. Didn't have a bench grinder and had to come up with an alternative.
what kind of primer do you use on the engine, given hight heat eat?
Been at it over an hour, tried both directions. It didn’t release.
I have two starters that have this type drive. They both failed within minutes of installation with the gear being over traveled like this. One shattered the drive gear. The other over-sped the starter motor and blew it up. What a terrible design. One backfire and they are destroyed. The originals last 75 years, these cheap tin ones you need a tool box full of them. I’m just looking for an original starter to get rewound rather than keep wasting money on this design.
We have not had many issues with this starter. We stand behind our products - if you feel this is a warranty claim, please contact us at 800-234-3280 and our returns team would be happy to assist.
Looks like an excellent way to ruin a good drill bit. I'd choose a reamer on a cold part instead. The reamers that I've used on hardened truck frame rails will open up a hole without any problems.
The 530 manual says you need to use a puller to remove the gear off the tapper lock. Can I use two bolts on it or do I need a gear puller
I have put the adjusting bar in torsion springs several times with a 20” piece of 3/8th rod. 5 minute job
I have put the tie bars on with one long punch in 5 minutes by myself
Is this the same setup on a magneto ignition h?
You would just not need the coil
