    Hi Deb! I have watched your evolution since the Cloud Up 2 days. I am also in love with ultralight backpacking, but unfortunately out on the east coast, many people are much more into peak bagging. It makes me so happy to see you out there doing your thing solo, and gives me confidence that I can do what I love for me out here too. I have a new job in my profession now that is much more flexible than a hospital I used to work for so I am hoping to get out West more often now on vacations. Thank you so much for updating progress on your journey, and for being courageous enough to tackle your goals.

      That's so refreshing to hear!! Many female hikers are afraid to go ultralight but it is so amazing!! Take care and hike on!!!

    Great video! I need to do another video on my gear. I ended up sending so much home! Especially all the food. LOL! If you need anything when you are finishing up that last section, let me know. I don’t live far from Tahoe. Happy trails! ❤️

    Thank you for responding to my previous question. I've got another one: why did you chose to hike counterclockwise?

    • @DebCampos
      @DebCampos  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes absolutely! Counterclockwise would get me to Tahoe City right in the middle of my hike.I didn't regret my decision. I absolutely loved the north side of the trail 🙂🙂🙂!

    Great video. Did u ever take a zero halfway throught the trt? Is there a lot of cheap motels or campgrounds? How did u keep everything like ur cell phone charged?

    • @DebCampos
      @DebCampos  Před 2 lety

      Hello, I never took a zero because my time was limited. You have several places where you can camp just check the TRT association website. I took a battery power bank and recharged when I arrived in Tahoe City. Hope this helps a little 😊!

  • @kikionthetrailoflove7036

    Have you any hiking trails planned for 2022?

    Where did you get thermometer? I have tried 2 different ones, one was very inaccurate and the other stopped working after a week.

    • @DebCampos
      @DebCampos  Před 2 lety

      I got mine at Amazon. It's a zipper thermometer from Sun Company. I hope it helps. 😊😊😊!

  • @marytawfall
    @marytawfall Před 2 lety

    How did you get your Desolation Wilderness permit? Did you get it in advance or while you were hiking? I've hiked half of the TRT a few years ago. I think I will schedule a tetanus shot now :)

    • @DebCampos
      @DebCampos  Před 2 lety +1

      I got it with the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit forest service. I called them and they emailed it to me. I also had to get a California fire permit. Hope this helps 😊!

    what neck knife do you carry? Do you have a link for it? Thank you!

    • @DebCampos
      @DebCampos  Před 2 lety +1

      Unfortunately, I can't find it in my Amazon orders any more. Maybe is not being sold anymore. I bought it at Amazon. Search under "neck knife". Sorry. I hope it helps 🙂!

      It's called Propel and it comes in single packets, I get them at Walmart 👍👍!
