- Hanfu is the traditional style of clothing worn by the Han Chinese. There are several representative styles of hanfu, such as the ruqun, the aoqun, the beizi and the shenyi, and the shanku. Traditionally, hanfu consists of a robe or a jacket worn as the upper garment with a skirt commonly worn as the lower garment.

Yeah, that woman saying it’s a costume was pretty disrespectful for that. But maybe she didn’t know it was a genuine traditional clothing. I’m glad she educated the lady by saying it’s traditional wear like the kimono etc

I really love this ancient culture . And always wanna wear this beautiful and elegant dress with my son and husband. I will wear it on Halloween. I hope I will not get criticized. It’s just I don’t have anywhere to wear it . Unlike Halloween u can be whatever u want .
