@@gabs1822 Both! Shadow and Bone is the first book in the first trilogy of stories. It's then followed by Siege and Storm, and Ruin and Rising. Six of Crows is the first book of a separate duology set in the same universe but two years later and in a different place, which is then followed by Crooked Kingdom

How many shadow and bone books are there cause I searched and some say 3 some say 4 and some say 7
@@sanchipandey9114 Shadow and Bone is a trilogy, but there are other books in the same universe. So altogether:
Shadow and Bone, Siege and Storm, Ruin and Rising (the books about Alina, Mal and Darkling)
Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom (the books about Kaz, Inej and the crew)
King of Scars and Rule of Wolves (Zoya and a new character not on the show yet)

They definitely won't cancel this show. It's currently sitting at #1 in many, many countries. It would require a very weird turn of events for Netflix to not order a second season.

probably in s2 or s3, since that's what happens in the books! we're getting closer to the books timeline now
@@DAlexa-lv6wq yeah but the Fold has to be destroyed first. Besides, we know that Matthias was in Hellgate for like 2 years. I think Six of Crows plot will happen in season 3 or later, not in season 2 since they have to go through all the Nikolai thing before that and make him the King by the time Crows go on THE heist

I just don't know what they would do with the crows next season unless they change the timelines even more. because they would then have to make up some other drama where they crows are involved in again. I just don't know how they're gonna figure it out, but I hope its good!
@@DAlexa-lv6wq @Madina Tuleshova i feel like they'll do the six of crows next season and since parem is supposed to be a secret alina & co. wont know anything about it. i think there are a few ways they could do the next seasons with shadow and bone and six of crows. i think they could skip over a lot of s&s bc its a filler book (and they killed marie early and had grisha fled and our main grisha characters are either in kribrisk or on the west side so the only purpose to really go back to os alta would be for nikolais quest to takeover and the apparat) or make s&s side less heavy and lean on the crows and develop them in the season 2. in season 2 i think we'll see the politics of ravka, the struggle of choosing love and your country, and get to see the surface of nikolai so that his character is a bit unknown until we get to kos (hopefully ?). they'll stop the crows right before they enter the ice court and that will be like a cliffhanger maybe. then in like season 3 they'll have ruin and rising which is fairly simple straightforward plot with the action of the ice court alongside it. the two stories will balance each other out in action because we'll have the crows background stories in s2 and we can see how their actions and reactions are affected by their past. like we'll get kaz seeing something or someone else seeing a person do something and then we'll like get a drawn-out reaction. I think there could be a good focus on the effects their past has on what they do in ice court in season 3.

They might get a bigger role in S2 or S3 since that is when the plot of six of crows actually happens but its most likely to be in S3 since matthias stays in hellagate for 2 years and they also have to go through all of Nikolai's story and make him king so it's prob S3 since S2 would be more focused on Nikolai!

What a good looking and fun cast! This is the only show I've seen where the diversity in the cast doesn't feel forced. They actually made sense and I love that every single one of them play such relevant and important roles. I hate it when they insert an ethnic minority actor in a movie or show just to be "diverse" but give them the shittiest roles.
I mean they casted based on the books, and the books have diversity. The only disappointment for me is the lack of Black female characters.
I love how Amita just introduces herself as just Amita while others included their surnames. It's like she knows there aren't a lot of famous Amitas in the world haha god I love her

Nikolai isn't in the first book so it's why he isn't in the show yet and the crows haven't met Wylan yet as the show is some kind of "prequel" to SoC where they meet him. But I hope we will get both of them next season :)
@@Verylengthyapple nickolai is from shadow and bone, and he doesn’t acc come in until the second book so it makes sense that it’s not until the second season. Wylan, on the other hand, is the demolitions “expert” they mentioned in one of the episodes, and possibly who Kaz got the darkling-escaping smoke bomb from.
