  • Strava says 18.12km and 960 metres of elevation gain. That hill is a hardcore pinch near the top. It blows my calves up too much on a normal bike so I ride the long way round or walk that bit usually. This bike flew up the hill with a little effort at around 200 metres per climb. Falling short of 5 full laps by 40 vertical metres. Weighing 20.7kg with exo plus maxx grip dhf front and exo dissector rear

    Well, you have definitely given me confidence that the 140mm travel rear end can withstand some big hits. Nice work!

      I just ordered an elite 1. Excited but nervous about moving into an e-bike. I love the black raw carbon colour-way. Your thoughts so far?

    Good upload as always.
    How do you rate this bike compared to the Marin etrail you reviewed a while back?
    Looking at getting one soon but can't decide on the full size vs something like this.
    The playfulness and capability of the Marin (especially for the price) is impressive.

    • @mtbtelly5522
      @mtbtelly5522  Před 3 měsíci +1

      That Marin is still the best I’ve ridden. Same power as this but more range. But the Trance easily fits a full drink bottle in the frame where the marin is barely able to take 400ml. And I think the longer travel and slightly better geo makes the marin more capable on the gnarlier trails

    Sick video mate, just wondering you mentioned about the bottom bracket is high, what position did you have the flip chip in?

      Hey bud, the flip chip was in the low position. Great bike

    Hi,
    what is the difference between the Giant Trance X Advanced e+ el2 from 2024 and the one from 2023. Of course apart from the year and color :-)

    • @Nickporter17
      @Nickporter17 Před 27 dny +1

      There are a few spec differences. The 2024 is slightly better. Especially for the base model "3." The paint jobs are way better too imo.

    Surely the 25km hr restriction can’t be for descending as well? I’m constantly clocking between 35-50 on some sections of our trails in South Africa

    • @benoc9966
      @benoc9966 Před 28 dny +1

      Of course not. It's a restriction on the pedal assist. Most countries have the 32kph so not sure why he has 25.

    Was the weight very noticeable on the trail compared to the Marin you rode?

    • @mtbtelly5522
      @mtbtelly5522  Před 3 měsíci

      Yeah its definitely noticable on the trail especially under brakes and on off camber stuff

    Yeah 25k restriction is bogus, dumb laws. At the controls there should be a road mode thats limited to 25, put a little trust back into the rider. Theres plenty of other people doing wrong things on the road. Geeat vid, thanks for sharing. Legend

    • @chadsugden411
      @chadsugden411 Před 3 měsíci +1

      I think it’s to stop at getting out of control and basically having a bunch of siron’s or stark varges up the hill. There has to be a limit somewhere to make it a bicycle and not an E dirtbike

    • @jasper_of_puppets
      @jasper_of_puppets Před 2 měsíci

      @@chadsugden411lol, e-mountain bikes have like less than 1 horsepower. Stark Varg has 80 horsepower. No comparison. Ebikes are not even in the same hemisphere as e-motorcycles.

    • @mtbtelly5522
      @mtbtelly5522  Před 2 měsíci

      Not really. Higher speed trails would suit more suspension, but this bike was killer for the stuff I rode on it
