It’s interesting because you don’t know if there are actually malevolent creatures in the woods or if the mother (Halle) is suffering from extreme psychosis and is keeping her boys tethered to the house for no reason.

Halle Berry is truly one of 1!! The range she possesses!! Like seriously!! From B.A.P.S to Catwoman to Losing Isiah to X-men to Dorothy Dandridge to Monsters Ball to Gothika to The call to Bruises etc none of the roles are the same! She’s extraordinary!! She deserves more recognition! Seriously! Side note I’d love to see her in a film with Denzel!

Man the producer of Stranger things did a really good job with this, you can feel the atmosphere by the Trailer.

Here’s my viewpoint, It gives me the idea of a mother trying to protect her children from the world as long as she possibly can.
Raising two black boys is hard. The world is evil and even though they’re not old enough to see the dangers for themselves, doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
This looks like it will be a great movie. I honestly don’t think I’ve seen Halle in a movie that wasn’t good.

I love seeing Halle back in these type of suspense stories. I feel that genre is one of her biggest strength as an actress. I would love if she does a TV series full of suspense/thriller.
Why do I feel this is in the same universe as Tethered (2022)? In Tethered, Solomon, a young blind man, lives alone in the North Carolina woods with a rope that helps guide him home after his parents seemingly died or left him to fend for himself with an unknown monster. Then, one day, Hank, another human, comes into his life, and things confuse Solomon. All his life, he’s ever known to depend on the rope. Never Let Go has the same premise. Is Hank, the husband of Halle Berry’s mother, going crazy after he left and never came back? Is her family falling to the same symptom that plagued Solomon’s? It would be cool if it is.

@@annabaked2954 I don’t recall 50+ movies with the same premise. The only other film with a rope scene was Bird Box, which I have seen. However, Tethered's premise was based around the rope as the life link, inspiring Never Let Go. I only made the connection because of the character Hank, the hunter. He was an outsider; the only thing we know about him is that he came into the area as he hunts. That is all I was giving. The trailer of Never Let Go shows a mom and her two children with ropes tied to them to keep them safe. Where would her husband be if she did have one? Who is the children’s father? What happened to him? What was his name? Did he leave or die before the start of the movie? If he did go, was it to hunt for food for the family? Do you see why I made the connection?
Chill ... lol sometime sequel prequel + same cine. verse is just a disaster ....Alien Vs Predator (AvPs), i love them personally but let's be honnest, they are terribad.... I went to see Exhuma without watching any trailer , it's the best way to enjoy any horror / thriller imo...

I see the plot going down as the kids and the audience start off believing there are entities. Then the movie will make us start to believe the mom is just crazy. Then at the end it turns out she's not crazy.
