    The man with the most tools wins. Everyone knows that.

    Along the line of making your own tools, I can see taking one of those crowfoot bits, grinding it thin enough to slip under the caliper slide pin, adding a 3/8 extension to the air hammer, and bust the slider free with that.

    That Bim extension looks the part. Gonna pick one of those up in the future 👍

    You cracked the caliper.

      It's a shadow on the casting of the bracket. I guarantee that I didn't break the caliper 🤣👍

      Thanks! Most of my budget went to a new harbor freight tool box... that was a easy $2000

    I like your videos. I have a slight problem with your funnel gadget. Kinda thinking a larger funnel that would hold a lot more fluid would work better and cost a lot less and be a lot less of a PITA . Funnel just put it in no stuff to adapt it to the engine,,,,, Just saying!. I get the whole thing about going low end to try stuff!

    • @themechanic6117
      @themechanic6117  Před měsícem +1

      I hear you. The upside to adapters is the funnel is always upright and not flopping around. Also the sealed adapter won't let oil leak out if the engine can't accept the oil fast enough

    We've all seen other mechanics at dealerships with huge tool boxes - I'm guessing the collection of tools can reach $20,000?

    Remember your in the trade to make money not spend money. Id rather have more money in my account to spend on other things i want, than to be the cool kid with all the high end tools and in debt.

    • @themechanic6117
      @themechanic6117  Před měsícem +1

      I hear you, most tools either make money or help you make money faster. The older I get I have no problem spending money on things that make my job easier.

      @@themechanic6117 I agree to a point. Just remember the more you spend the less you will have for retirement and old age medical which you will need, and seems to be getting more expensive every year. Im disabled now, and trust me you will need every penny you save. The bad thing about tools nowadays is that you can get them easy and cheap. Back in the day when you retired you could recoup a lot of that money when retired. Forget about that now. You wont get hardly anything for them now.

    I like the wrench tool, the one that eliminates the double wrench thing.
    👍🏼👍🏼

      The double wrench method has always felt sketchy to me, always felt like it was going to slip and smash my hand
