My first guitar was an RJ strat. It's awesome, and it still works to this day. I gave it to my younger cousin, currently my student. Also my current guitar is a Les Paul style RJ guitar.

I bought an RJ guitar thats an Ibanez RG clone with a floyd rose bridge and locking tuners a long time ago. I was even able to get him to sign it. Still one of the best playing and sounding guitars ive ever bought. Love RJ guitars!

I have a Bluesbreaker (Les Paul) RJ guitar, all the bells and blings, Flame maple top, top and bottom binding, gold hardwares with a tobacco sunburst + mother of pearls Trapezoid inlays, and boy it looks good and sounds good over a gauge 10 strings. playability is 9, weight is in the heavy side, overall its a bang for the buck. - lets support local brand guys.

Got this guitar last christmas sale, it was literally the last one na natatakpan ng ibang gitara, wala akong idea sa gitara na to bukod sa common knowledge ko na gusto ko ng maple fret at ganda ng gold hardware. Combo with RJ Chameleon, it was really a treat playing this guitar and saying na feels like a Squire. Compared it to my oldie bootleg strat from 10 years ago at masasabi ko sa POV ko na this feels a lot premium compared to my daily driver before.
Total was 30k but with 50% discount I got it half price. So worth it

Maganda talaga ang RJ. RJ strat 80s o 90s pa ata yon. Yon ang pinakaunang electric guitar na nagamit ko sa church kaso sira na ngayon and up to this point medyo madami na rin akong nagamit na iba't ibang gitara wala pa kong nagamit na kasing ganda ng tunog na yon. Ewan ko lang sa PRS di pa ko nakagamit.

Sir Pax, Sana mag karoon din po kayo ng content video for wood types or different woods na gamit from guitar neck, fretboards and body. Like from Hard maple, silver maple , rosewood etc. To differentiate the raw sound of a guitar from the material used and malaman din yung presyo ng woods na gamit. Para na din sa mga beginners like me na makapili ng gitara na masasabi mong worth it sa budget na kaya. Salamat po . Sana mapansin 🙏 been watching your vids and dami ko natutunan from you. Bought one nung sale nila years back. Matik maple neck/fretboard and alder nga. Ganda ng resonance, kaso the bridge cavity was not centered properly kaya di sapul masyado yung poles (visually paling, pero the sound is still captured). Sound is remarkable, while hardware is budget talaga. Had to replace yung saddles din. Looks like mas okay na ito ngayon.

Share ko lang. Way back 2004, isa pa ang Uncle ko sa mga gumagawa ng nga handcrafted special edition guitars ni RJ himself. Mapa-acoustic or electric. Isa ako sa mga nabigyan ng Uncle ko ng 5-string bass and 7-string RG with RJ's signature before he passed. 😔 not entirely sure, kung kailan sila exactly nagdecide to mass produce using the manufacturers based in China. Nonetheless, affordable yet, reliable brand ang RJ compared to other local brands in the market. Tweaking + preference lang talaga para mahabol no yung sound na gusto mo.

Before masunog ang factory ng RJ naka rating pa ako sa mismong factory nila, nagpacustomize kasi ako ng double neck guitar bass and guitar, at mismong anak pa ni Sir ramon jacinto kausap ko nuon. At ang nag paint nuon sir emil matagal na un mga 2002 pa yata .

Natural lang ang ganyan flames sa Maple, it's not really that rare, kung titignan mo hindi ganun kalalim ang flames nya, most cases kapag na lagyan ng sealer ang grains, mag pa pop out yung figures... Pero hanggang dyan lang ang contrast nyan po.
Anyways, it's a good guitar, I prefer a two point floating trem though... And yung may silver sky contour sa may cutaway nya

My first guitar was an Ibanez JS1200 CA Japan made. Pero diko mapatunog ng ganito.. 🙈 Talagang nasa player kahit budget guitar pa.. Heheh.. Thanks PAX for sharing your knowledge. For us wannabes, malaking tulong.
Well first, the pickups in JS1200 are Humbuckers, and even if it has coil split, it is is not the same as an actual single coil pickup. Second, pickup manufacturers have different ways of making their pickups so a typical Dimarzio high output PU will still sound different from a Seymour Duncan of the same range / type. While the it is true that your tone is at your fingertips, it is not fair to make the comparisons you just made.

I've never preferred RJ Guitars since I've gotten the impression that they were not really the best quality, especially their acoustics and (sorry if I offend people) the dreaded Les Pu series. With the rise of local brands like the affordable Jcraft line and the signature guitars of D&D, i just thought that RJ Guitars just couldn't catch up with the times.
But when I saw the green version of this guitar, boy I knew it was their comeback. With the choice of ceramic or alnico pickups along with the option of maple or walnut fretboard, I really regretted that I didn't have enough money saved for it.

@@mondvlogph yun nga boss, hindi ganon naging popular sa public yung mga higher tier line nila since rj is not really marketed as a luxury guitar line, more on everything sila and i guess most starting guitarists noon (before the age of youtube) ang kanilang naging entry line na recognized brand was RJ, and after nila magswitch to any mid tier guitars maririnig yung difference. Yun na din siguro ang nagiwan ng stereotype na hindi kagandahan yung rj. Pero kung siguro hindi rin nagawang ireview ni sir PAX etong gigline malamang naging hidden gem na rin tong gitara na to.
