During the kick outs and submisson dont spam all the buttons it shows, only spam 2 of them. meaning either just spam press square + triangle or circle and X.

This game is a bunch of fun, and is such a refreshing entry in the wrestling game genre.
It's not one I think I'm gonna sink a thousand matches into, but if they deliver with updates over the year(s), I'll definitely revisit it, probably for many years to come

If games like no man’s sky & cyberpunk can completely reimagine their game I’m positive if the support is there that fight forever could add in community creations & a expansive creation suite especially with it being the only game that’ll come out for a long time

The only difference is that this game is pretty much only for wrestling fans. Harder to get the kind of fan hype that other games get when it’s geared towards a niche community.
This game should've launched like current No Mans Sky. Cyberpunk still kinda sucks ass.

DOR was dope. I love that it was different from the smackdown games. You could have fun playing either.. I just felt bad for the Xbox players who had to play raw. That game was terrible lol
Aside from the barebones creation suite & the fact that we can't import custom logos, the gameplay looks quite fun. The mini games are a welcoming addition & the ability to carry 5 championships at once is hella dope. The career mode feels pretty limited though ( in terms of longevity ) but I like how it incorporates real world activities, such as dining in restaurants, as well as other perks. If I had to give it an honest score, then a 6.5 out of 10 would suffice.

The gameplay is the only thing carrying this game. The creation mode sucks, no community creations, damn near no match type variety, limited to 4 players, no full entrances, short story, lack of game modes, no commentary.. this game has no business being 70 bucks. There’s ps2 wrestling games with way more content than this.
unfortunately I bought the "elite" version of the game and it's just boring and repetitive. the moves are basic and repetitive. the controls are basic and dont really flow like you think they would. the roster is extremely lackluster. theres no in match commentary at all. they wasted time with silly things like the mini games and didnt polish or finish what they had. it just feels like an unfinished mess of a game to be honest. the controls are glitchy it's hard to switch from target to target in battle royals and multi man matches. the blood only really happens in the death matches. I was just disappointed especially with the roster they dont even have the acclaimed or Billy gun no Austin or colton Gun no danhausen no roh guys it's so limited. the jas isn't in it, no black pool combat people besides danielson and mox, no evil uno. the entrances are like 5 seconds long and not really good. i just dont get how they could take this much time and money and still miss.
I honestly regret buying it. ive had it 4 or 5 hours and I'm already bored with it. legends of wrestling for ps2 was a better game.

Finding out new things to do in this game everyday since I bought it but the running cross body move to your opponent who is against the ropes which ends up taking both Wrestlers to the ringside mats which has been in The WWE2K Series for Years because of Yukes.

I got the AEW Fight Forever Elite Edition but I have yet to play it cause I’m on vacation but planning on playing it as soon as I get home!

I havent played this game yet i seriously want to but from what ive been hearing in terms of what it lacks, AEW Fight Forever kind of feels like SmackDown 1 in a way or WCW vs nWo World Tour, I just hope the sequel to Fight Forever will give us Revenge or possibly No Mercy vibes 🙏🏼🙌🔥😌

The amount of things we can do in this game is only a fraction of what can be done in 2k19 and 23. It definitely is fun though 👍🏼👍🏼🔥🔥

@@ciaranmcguinness8900I don’t know about that. Seems like wrestlers have less moves than 2k and the matches are only a couple minutes long. People are way too kind regarding the quality of this game.

I got the game, and i love it. Still trying to unlock big show in Rte but other then that had alot o fun
Did my first two tournaments to crown my first aew world and tnt Champions. Got 2 unexpected finals, for the world it was omega vs Cole with omega winning and for the tnt it was wardlow vs Sammy with Sammy pulling off the huge upset and winning the title. Still got aew world tag team womens world and tbs tournament left to do but overall I'm having a blast with aew fight forever.

If you had to choose one wrestling game, what is the best choice between this game and wwe 2k from this year?
The game is very fun. There are many weapons and even an exploding barb wire match. When barb wire weapons get used the game gets very bloody.
The controls are simple and the matches are short, so it's easy to pick up and play.
Some of the weapons include a skateboard, tire, barb wire bat, and many others. Weapons can be pulled from the crowd and from under the ring.

this is the classic game that I would never buy for 70€, but that i would enjoy a lot in the Xbox Game Pass
By next year it will have discounts and get more affordable. I plan to buy it for my son's Nintendo Switch.
I think the mini-games were unnecisary, they could have added focus to other areas without them. BUT that's just my opinion. Awesome video as always!

I won the casino battle royale in the career mode with Wardlow and won the AEW Championship.
I think the graphics are fine gameplay is really fun creation suite and the aew shop are pretty limited but I'm sure they'll add more playing road to elite with Ramses from the Nacho Libre movie I also created Nacho & El Esqueleto of course I'll probably make all the wrestlers from the movie 😂... maybe a few WWE legends

I don't watch AEW so I don't really know many of the characters, other than the WWE people. I play these games for their story mode, and from what I've heard, these two facts make this a pass for me on this game. If it had a great story mode, I thought it would be a good way for me to learn the AEW roster and maybe get into it. Maybe when the price goes down later in the year.
I feel you. I dont watch AEW either, and i just got the game friday. It's fun for what it is, but it gets boring quickly. I can play WWE all day, but i have to limit myself with this game. It's still fun and worth the buy. If you love wrestling, period, it will scratch that itch for something different.

@@DatBoiZuess I work too and have money but definitely not gonna pay 60/70 bucks for a game, actually any game now days don't worth that much for what offers and people need to wake up and stop pre-ordering and buy games when come out at such high prices instead of complaining they are buggy, broken or wasn't worth all that money, so sooner or later the companies will decrease the prices since nobody buys the product, instead now with dlc, Deluxe edition etc some even reach over $1000 💀
@@girlbossperiodI can tell you haven't actually played the game. It has a few bugs here and there, but it doesn't destroy the gameplay, and gameplay is OUTSTANDING in this game. Especially with friends.
2K23 literally still has glitches and bugs to this day, and STILL has server problems online. Where 2K shines is its extra features and great graphics... but in terms of actual wrestling gameplay, AEW FF wins.

They use some animations from the wwe games because wwe still uses some animations by thq from 2k14
The important thing is the style of play and the fun. Graphics will not give you much fun if the play is sterile. The most important point in wrestling games is the style and quality of play

what do you mean they can't patch in customization features? Games add in additional content/features all the time.
If they did it would only be a part of THIS game. For all future AEW games it would have to be an in-engine game addition because adding stuff in is done on a game to game basis with no guarantee of adding other things not breaking a previous addition. Think of live service games as an example of devs just patching stuff in and in the sequel all that stuff is gone.

I love the win loss record which even works with custom wrestlers which makes it feel real and I also like how the custom wrestlers look like the ones in game and don't feel out of place

My question is why do they need to update things that should already be in the game. It’s 2023 we are already accustom to a large variety of math types, full entrances, community creations, commentary, numerous game modes to choose from… there’s no reason for this game to not include any of the norm at launch & then slap a full price tag on it.

Premium pricing for less features than competitors. The creation limitations killed it for me.
Any criticism you may have is valid but it's not in anyway realistic to compare to WWE 2K who've been building on a 20+ year old engine when they just started. Honestly when you compare it to the last game released by a WWE competitor that being TNA IMPACT which was also released at a premium it has a lot more features we've become accustomed to. Still no one realistically expects a WWE 2K level experience.
Though I don't think they were in their right minds to sacrifice creation parts and a CC equivalent to do minigames. Having said that maybe they went the Nintendo Wii route by trying for their own niche because they know they can't compete on raw power. Maybe they're confident they can add to it.

@@ChampagneS4366 spare the history lesson. My relationship with it is as a consumer and they're providing the goods. It is not unrealistic to hold a 70 dollar game to a 70 dollar standard. It is however unrealistic to excuse a lack of content simply because they can't compete at the same level, despite (once again) asking for the same entry fee.
@@Flairway00 yeah, in a few years I'll check back in on the title. But, outside of 2k the last wrestling game that had an impressive creator was AAW- Action Arcade Wrestling, and that was at the cost of 14 bucks.

I like how in this video you could easily tell you enjoyed the game enough to not really nip pick. It really shows that the game, despite being limited and not being on a big budget like wwe, still gets the job done. Like you said, it's only the first installment and moving forward can and definitely will get even better.

I like how they went with the "N64 Wrestling games" Game play but even going back and playing No Mercy recently they've stripped this game down from that. (maybe to build upon in the future). It's fun for about 2 or 3, maybe 4 matches then it gets stale cause the lack of depth. Good start for an AEW game tho.

THQ Nordic said that if a new game does happen, it probably won't be until the next generation of consoles. They want to focus on upgrading the current game with DLC.
