The problem with Hurts is that people overrated him as a passer. He struggles to get through his reads and seeing the field. There's a reason he got benched for Tua at Alabama. He's an athlete playing qb, not an athletic qb.
Tua appears to be the only Alabama QB that is worth a small pile of beans.
I was shocked by his contract after 1 good season. Great athlete, good team, I just haven't seen elite QB play.
Hurts was a very accurate thrower last year, deep, intermediate, and short. This year he has been injured and had had a new coordinator. Things haven’t been as good but the comment is an over reaction

It’s the offense not Hurts learn football
I wish the nfl shot the damn game showing the deep part of the field also so I can watch the receivers and secondary play out. All we see is lineman and backers until the ball gets lobbed. Anyone else agree with me?? I want to see the whole damn field.
I feel like this video just isn’t long enough to really understand the full situation that the eagles are in and the mistakes they have made

When you run the ball 3rd and 6 you don't trust your qb...plain and simple.

You must haven't watched many Eagles because Hurts have converted many 3rd and 4th downs thru the air for 1st downs. He and the team are just in a funk right now.

Hurts is turning back into a pumpkin. He isnt "bad", but he is not as good as his record. He needs his run game to be effective. Once that starts to go, he isnt a good enough Passer to rely primarily on his Arm

Well it doesn’t help when the Eagles are running a high school offense and Jalen is the reason they won 11 games their defense stinks
@@johnomalley7211 Perhaps they are running a HS offense because Hurts cannot grasp a more complex offense. Whenever a qb drops his eyes looking to run in a totally clean pocket that's a major red flag. He does it way too much.
Hurts cant read defenses and has never been able to. Bucs showed that in the playoffs a few years ago. Eagles had to create a simple high school offense for Hurts which outside of a shit load of Tush pushes, fake qb tush pushes😂, zone reads, bubble screens, and slants is pure garbage.
Some adjustmenrs need to be made is all theyre gonna win these last 3

Wrong. I’m from Oklahoma and say Bradford was one of the worst qbs. Couldn’t throw a long ball to save his life and could only check the ball down because he couldn’t read a single defense. Don’t say he’s a good qb - he’s absolutely shit and belonged in the xfl or some other trash can.

Eagles fan here. Yup, Hurts is overrated and definitely can't read defenses. But at the same time, neither can you. Your zone circles. Dude, come on. There's a mix of man and zone here in a lot of these plays. Draw the right coverages
