    Urushi = ooh-ROO-shee
    I'm glad that you ended up buying the gold nib. It looks beautiful ❤️

    Never mind CAD$. Try GBP with our import costs! $350 = £279. Plus 4.7% import charges for fountain pen = £292, plus 20% VAT on the whole amount = £350.54, plus mail delivery clearance fee = £8 = total of £358.54 which then equates to around $450. The UK is a joke. We can’t import anything without getting ripped off. Thx for listening. LOL. 😀👍🏻

    Thanks Kerry! I ordered my Wancher True Urushi Aka Tamenuri with a Red Ebonite feed and 18K Wancher F Nib back in February 2020 and it
    arrived two days ago. The Urushi finish is just stunning and writing is smooth as glass and wet but with some exceptions. Vertical stroke skipping and
    Wancher 18K F Nib writes much more like a M nib. Nib and Tine alignment look fine under a loupe but It looks like I may have a case of babys bottom.
    This seems to be an issue folks online are reporting with Wancher 18K Fine nibs (you mentioned QC issus earlier with Wancher 18K nibs). Its inconceivable
    that a pen that costs upwards of US $530 should have these issues. I would not even attempt using mylar paper or micro-mesh on this pen. Next stop is to drop
    Wancher an email with the issues I am seeing.

    $130 for a gold nib is within market limits, imo. $50 for an ebonite feed does sound high, esp. considering a Noodler's Nib Creaper comes with one for $16.10.

      Wancher's ebonite comes from Japan, is cut with precision in the US and finally travels back to Japan Wancher headquarters. Hence the price.
      Noodler's come from India and is manually cut.

    Not my bag, but certainly a fine looking pen. Thanks for the revisit.

    Do you still think the same about the steel vs. gold nib? I got a bunch of gold nibs, including the Pilot Urushi and other smaller ones, and they are great but as of late I started acquiring and using Leonardo pens with mostly steel nibs (ok one gold nib) and I find them absolutely great and they are Jowo nibs so same as the Dream Pen. So I started to think that well gold nibs are a different experience but they are not mutually exclusive with the steel nibs in terms of great experience. Since then you also went the Benu way (I did it too following your reviews, I own now four Euphoria and one Talisman) and you love the nibs your views from two years ago may have changed like mine. Is that the case? Cheers and thanks for your great videos!

    I’ve ordered mine in February exactly the same configuration except for the red feed (I’ve got the black one) waiting for the pen, delivery is foreseen in September

    Thanks for showing this interesting pen even if it's not my cup of tea.

    LOL! “Bend over comes to mind.” 😂 it is a beautiful pen. I look forward to getting an Urushi pen some day. Have you tried the Franklin Christoph Urushi Red ink? It’s my favorite red.

    Have you seen comparable urushi pen offerings? The Wancher with the extras is still quite competitive.

    Can’t post it so, that’s a turn off for me. I’d lose the cap, especially when travelling.
