O’Neill: I’m sorry for attending Bobby Storey funeral during pandemic

  • Northern Ireland’s First Minister Michelle O’Neill has apologised for attending a large-scale funeral during the coronavirus lockdown.
    The then-deputy First Minister and a number of Sinn Fein ministers attended the funeral of senior republican Bobby Storey in west Belfast in June 2020 when there were restrictions on social gatherings.

    My best friend died during pandemic .I couldn't go to his funeral. I'm disgusted and beyond mad .

    I'm sorry for going - how about sorry for allowing the funeral to happen while no-one else could do the same? One rule for ordinary people, another rule for terrorists and BLM etc

      Trying to win over the protestant community as supporters now that she's first minister. That's the only reason she's sorry. Got a taste of the money now so wants to stay in power
