I think I like marinistic scenes the best. The whole blue colour's spectrum and use of light - just great. Please show more of this cleaning, I know I will enjoy different blues of sky and sea.
I like a marine painting too, this is unusual though being almost a pov!
I’d love that painting on my wall as it truly gives off a feeling of relaxation - something we all need these days!
It’s a lovely painting and an unusual composition
1st thought: Newlyn (style)
2nd thought: OMG, it looks like Rick Stein!
The Tommy Cooper of art restoration.
There is something of Stanhope-Forbes about that painting. I've not heard of Frank Brichta before. There doesn't seem to be much on the internet about him either.
No I’ve only found a handful of paintings too I think he died quite young in his early 30s
@@Bloomfield_Art_Restoration Such a pity. I suppose we can be thankful he left us at least some works to remember him by.
Looking forward to seeing more on this painting. Leaving the monetary portion aside, do these smaller fast restorations provide fast satisfaction? Or do you prefer the larger projects? Just curious.
I like both but compared to the larger projects it’s nice to be able to complete some of the smaller ones in a more timely manner.
