Natalia Miilu, with that all being said. I don't think that Crimea is a topic to discuss at a Song Contest. As long as a contestant ist Ukrainian and loves his country deeply - everything is fine. Now would I or anyone I know be ok with a person going, whose parent received a medal for "getting Crimea back to Russia"??(wtf??) No, obviously not. But that was more of a show runner's mistake - a background check would have solved this. But Maruv wone fair and square, I would have been happy if she did go as Ukrainian contestant. If only she wouldn't be so titsy about the contract. These rules where there for Verka Serduchka as well.

I loke Maruv, because over the years the people who follow her have seen her growth as an artist and in the end that was valued by the ukrainian community. It's not vulgar, it's sexy, it's not porn it's a show. If we look at Madonna's performances, they are much more explicit but people look at them with an open mind. Ukrainians have an open mind too, they have shown, but politicians do not. For that reason I think that unfortunately my country has no democratic origin. We do not have to ask permission for an artist to represent us. Maruv has shown with her attitude that she is worthy of being what she is. I'm from Ukraine and I think only Maruv has the right to represent Ukraine this year because she won. If it's not her Ukraine should be disqualified this year.

So furious about what has happened. Simply dreadful. I hope she goes to Eurovision sometime in the near future.

Jamala asking that question was so weird... Especially how she ended her question at 1:24...

Shame on you Ukraine! This is so ridiculous! All the political isues you may have in your country, you must deal with them internally, the ESC is about music, it should represent freedom of creativity, integrity and should celebrate music, not political advertisement.
I sincerely think that the ESC organizers should take a position on Ukraines participation cause this action is so embarrassing

Euro contest was never about only music. Especially in the last decade.

@Adam Chasing brexit and annexation of the territory is not the same. Crimea is home of Jamala, that's why the topic is so sensitive for her.
