I'm showing you the comparisons not just the robots form, but also the cars form. And the scenes comparisons are mostly the transformations.
This is something really random from me while I was in free-class trying to do something "useful". Better than doing nothing :p
This actually took me a lot more time than expected it to be, but I guess it's pretty worth it. I'm a huge fan of Transformers since I was 6 y/o when the live-action movie first came out. But then I just knew that actually Transformers wasn't something original, there was actually a thing before this thing happened. And now, since there aren't so many people doing this type of comparisons about "Old and New Transformers", so I decided to do it myself. And I can't wait for the new movie "Transformers: The Last Knight" to come out. The trailer was so COOL, I liked the trailer tho, but I hope the movie isn't going to fail like the fourth movie (still like it tho) :)

Though I know it's a work of scripted fiction I still idolize Optimus prime to this very day. His wisdom, strength, determination, loyalty, devotion, persistence and will to fight played a very big part in my childhood. He was the embodiment of never giving up when I was a kid, just like he still is to me to this very day (more than 30 years later).

I think the point is that bayverse bee made bumblebee extremely popular almost if not as much as prime so there wouldn't be a bee movie without the bayverse before hand.
Plus if the main reason why a movie is better is because a different guy made it then that doesn't mean much to someone who doesn't care about who made it.
To be fair, when you hear the name "Ironhide" you don't really expect that character to turn into a Literal Van
I didn't knew that at first until I looked up and watched G1. The films introduced Transformers to me, and by that, I grew up knowing a black GMC Ironhide instead of the OG red van from G1...

@@noodles7193 True. Personally, I think the best vehicle mode for ironhide would be a red F-150 with a yellow stripe running along the sides.
That aside, I think the Vanete that the original ironhide transformed into was pretty beefy for a van, but I could be wrong.
Michael bay did several mistakes in those movies but he sure made most of the transformers look badass

I grew up with the beyverse movies and I can’t imagine bumblebee not a Chrevrolet Camaro, or Ironhide being a van
What happens when your young. I watched the Generation 1 series when I was a kid back in the 80's. The generation of kids that cried in the theaters when Optimus Prime died the 1 st time.
I still see Bumblebee as a Volkswagen Bug. Ironhide as a van. Prime as a late 70's Peter built 18 wheeler. Megatron as a Walther P38 handgun.

Tho I am only 18, my dad had all the discs for seasons 1 and 2 of TF G1, some other ones as well like Headmasters and the G1 movie. When I was younger, I would watch it over and over again as I loved Transformers. Watching the Bay movies the design are somewhat alright but most of them are ass. The biggest problem that I have with most people is that yes some of the designs don't match in their eyes, but they make the characters who they are. Ironhide is a red van because that's who he is.

Ya know, I really enjoy the designs from the Michael Bay films; it's so satisfying watching all the parts click and slide and into place. I'm fine with Hasbro reviving the G1 art style, but I hope these character designs come back one day. These were my Transformers growing up.
The designs are already being milked by hasbro in the form of the Studio Series toyline.
Me personally? I wish that Hasbro would bring back designs that aren't from g1, beast wars or the bay verse. There are so many parts of the franchise that haven't gotten any attention outside of their accompanying toyline. I grew up with TF animated, TFP, the Unicron trilogy and IDW's original universe, which to this day is my favourite part of transformers and holds my favourite designs out of the franchise. Yet none of these have gotten, well, anything. Almost everything in the last decade or so has been marketed towards g1 fans, and I really hope it doesn't end up killing the franchise.
@@SirBroccolingtonIII Yeah, think Transformers is a pretty flexible franchise if Hasbro allowed it to be. Imagine how many shows or movie or comic series they could make if they weren't latching on to G1 designs so tightly (for the sake of the 'hardcore' fans, no doubt). I would love to see the "Aligned" continuity designs get some love again, too. War for Cybertron had some amazing re-imaginings of the classic designs. Seems Hasbro's too afraid to break away from the old designs, though, as they're trying to lock down on what characters can and can't look like now.
@@Spoot401 It's not that they're scared to deviate from the original, because everything I mentioned above proves that they can make some truly amazing and creative designs, it's just that geewun sells well. And as I said, things like IDW, aligned and even the g1 marvel comics that ran alongside the cartoon are superior to it in every single way, not just design wise (especially IDW and Marvel UK). As much as I dislike the bay films as movies, I can't deny how much they've done for the franchise. And on top of that, g1 fans are actually a minority in the Fandom. Which means that as long as hasbro continues to base their shows, comics and movies on the done-to-death concepts of G1, the franchise as a whole could be well on its way to dying and fading into obscurity.

@@unoreversecard1997 Soundwave is a spy/communications officer. In the original cartoon as well as the marvel comic, I don't think the decepticons even had a scientist to begin with.

I honestly didn't mind that the movies weren't faithful to the original sources. It is after all its own universe that shouldn't be limited that way. The unique designs of each character were still epic nonetheless

The Transformers ip in general is notorious for having a million different incarnations and different universes, there's no such thing as a "main timeline" or "definitive version" of the story, every comic run, series, toyline etc are all different universes with their own spin on it so at the end of the day, it's not THAT bad the movies trued their own unique spin on what the G1 cartoon did.

Jazz should be Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Bumblebee should be Volkswagen New Beetle RSi, Sideswipe should be Lamborghini Murciélago LP670-4 SV, Wheeljack should be Ferrari 430 Scuderia, and Some Others with Higher Similiarities to Their Own Predecessor at least

I grew up watching Transformers in secret, since I trust Optimus Prime and several of the other Autobots, after I was claimed as a Descendant of the Primes.
I don't know about the story and stuff but they looked really cool and their transformations were Breathtaking!!

The action is better, but when you look at things like the plot, characters and story lines, the bay films really start to fall apart. The G1 cartoon wasn't even all that good in these areas, but even it could beat the bay films.
I was also introduced to transformers via the bay films, so I understand why you would like them more than G1.

Honestly, real action transformers design will ALWAYS be my favourite, the design and transformation was really complicated
and better you were interested in the bumblebee reboot/rise of the beasts
I have a lot of favorites in the video, but my number one favorite is Optimus Prime. I'm juggling between which Prime is better though because both G1 and Bayformers Prime are played by the same voice actor, Peter Cullen.

I spent my childhood with Michael Bay's Transformers movies :(. I don't even remember how many times I watched the first and second movies. I even watched the third movie 4-5 times easily. Those were good times :(. I finished the Transformers Prime cartoon series a few months ago. Lately I've been watching old Transformers productions that are worth watching. I didn't know about cartoons and comics when I was a kid :(

I love the original transformers movie from 1986 I even got it on DVD It's just so good
I really liked the movies but I still couldn't and still can't get used to the Transformers in the movie, they have changed so much and there is so much detail that I find the scenes with the Transformers difficult to follow. I would like it better if they stayed more with the originals and used a lot less detail
You don't expect people to like the same thing over and over, do you? People will keep wanting more and more, but different in each way, and that's just how it is. Love it or hate it, we just have to accept those nostalgic things will keep on being replaced over and over as harsh as it sounds.
Well to be fair, it's not like the change was abrupt. Every transformers franchise up till the films put their own spin on the designs, and each one differed from the last in several ways.
And then combiner wars happened in 2015, and basically everything barring IDW's comics and the bay verse started being marketed towards g1 fans.

Probably the two thing I didn’t like about the bayverse was how Michael Bay decided to mostly disregard each of the transformers orginal looks in the bayverse. *hot rod* The bayverse also relied a bit to much on the humans.

@@Rayven-gb7tc I am referring to the first time we see Optimus Prime transform. It takes 32 seconds to complete the transformation. Every other time he transforms in under 4 seconds. After typing this, I think I just realized... I am a neeeerrd!!!

Yes new too. Movie designs but with G1 elements regarding the plots was a wasted idea. But sadly, both Michael Bay and the G1 fans don't acknowledge that. Bay only cared about explosions, and the G1 fans, despite being the old generation are the ones acting rather immaturely than the younger ones, clearly showing they don't accept change.

I mean, disregarding the awful storyline of the Bayverse, most of the Autobots look badass, especially the first five Autobots. And we gotta admit, Bayverse Bumblebee is the Bumblebee we've all come to love.

They don't accept change, and yer they're the ones complaining of being sick of this generation, when they're the ones with the issues of simply trying to accept changes, like seriously. And speaking of Bay's designs, despite the terrible plot of the films, they really do look badass, detailed and mire alien, to which I grew up even recognizing Bumblebee as a yellow camaro. But could the adults blame people growing up to know bumblebee as a camaro? They can't simply expect me or anyone in my case to simply discover G1 on purpose on the internet...
@@alyasonyot706 That's not even the extent of G1 fans' hatred towards anything that's not g1. They hate _everything,_ not just the movies. The comics, the novels, the other TV shows, everything.
Also, while Bay verse Bumblebee is the version that popularised the character again, he's not very well liked, even among non-g1 fans. Most people prefer the TFP or TFA versions.
And the funniest part is, g1 isn't even that good in the first place. Nonsensical plots, extremely generic characters and the unique ones not getting any real development, some of the worst villains in the history of transformers (which is ironic considering that g1 came before everything else), and the 1986 movie being the only part of the cartoon to make megatron threatening.
Yeah, it's fun to watch, but objectively, it's really not as good as people make it out to be.

The 1984 transformera came on the tv when I was 2 it was the first transformer show I watched I'm suprise that it came in 2010
I'm pretty sure for Chromia and Elita-1 the episode they debuted in didn't show them transforming, just cut from robot to vehicle
Edit: and Jetfire was still technically Jetfire in G1, but they had an issue with legal rights for the name, so he was Skyfire for a bit. Newer G1 media has him as Jetfire
