Thank you so much for the kind words. Glad you liked it. You have to admit they are smart. Take care and happy gardening.
How could i not like it hahahaha. Keep em coming!!!!!
In the desert here, (California), we have lots of ground squirrels. Oh my gosh, we have everything in the garden behind wire and wrapped in tulle! They are so smart and I love them and am always trying to outsmart them. "you have to be smarter than what you're working with" , is something I've always heard. I'm dumber than a squirrel I guess. LOL I love your videos. Thank you! I may buy some of these air critters, good thing we're not in an HOA! LOL
I'm glad you like my videos. Those squirrels are pretty smart aren't they. Take care.
Hysterical 😅😅! I was harassed by squirrels 8n my garden for twenty years until I got the ultimate Squirrel hunter....a mini dachshund!! She's the best 😊
Glad you liked it. I've had several other viewers also tell me that dachshunds are excellent squirrel hunters. Happy squirrel-free gardening!
Omg…I literally laughed out loud when that flying dancer popped up on the screen…bravo! You’ve outdone yourself, with this video and with your solution…perfect! Thanks for the fine entertainment you’ve provided. You seriously deserve some kind of award for your video recording/editing skills! I hope this solution continues to work - keep us posted!
Thank you so much! So far, that thing really is working. It just popped in my that time. I'm sure they've got Squirrel Team 6 working overtime on a solution.
It's a great idea, but how noisy is the animated dancer? I'd need a bunch of them so if they are loud it might not work for me. My method, besides cages around smaller trees, is to put cylindrical sleeves(made of 1/4" hardware cloth) over clusters of fruit, or even individual fruit. This absolutely works, but can be a pain to install and remove without breaking small branches. And all my vegetable gardens are inside cages of some sort, and I even have a blueberry cage that holds 10 plants in containers. I also have two plum trees inside an electrified fence and that works for the squirrels but not birds.
It's pretty loud. Right outside a window you can hear it some indoors. I've had it running 24/7 and you do kind of get used to the sound. I also have caged my entire garden, small potted citrus trees, and potted blueberries. I'm trying out some braided stainless steel bags you can zip tie over fruit. I'll be using this thing under larger fruit trees that have too many fruit to individually cover.
You're hilarious, chief! I saw one today by a restaurant. It may work. 😊
Thank you. So far it really has been working. Just picked a bushell of peaches this morning. I'm sure they've got Squirrel Team 6 working on a solution though. Take care.
With your first squirrel video lingering in my head this sequel is hysterical. Wonder what despair your dad had with these garden demons. Looking forward to saga.
Glad you liked it. I'd sure hate to have one get in the house. There'll be more videos to come. The saga continues.
lol appreciate the sequel and looking forward to a final, and hopefully successful, episode of this highly scientific experiment! Go Squirrel man
Glad you enjoyed it. So far it's working. "Squirrel Man" I like it!
Awesome video. And I’ve gotten not one peach yet from my good sized peach tree, and my young plum tree may not survive at all after the squirrels ate so many shoots and broke off nearly every branch. Maybe I’ll try this next year. Subscribed!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked the video. It certainly looks odd out in your yard. But, it worked. This was the first time in 12 years that I was able to harvest peaches from my tree. Take care.
Excellent video, had me laughing out loud! So entertaining and educational!
Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed it. Happy squirrel-free gardening!
😂 love this video. Thanks for the tips. I'm trying rocks in my pots with flowers. Ever considered writing a book? Good luck with them squirrels 😃
Thank you. So glad you liked the video. I sometimes think about writing a book some day. Happy squirrel-free gardening!
That was very well done thank you!
This year I had a nest of little red squirrels in the barn. I picked up the nest and put it outside and waited for a hot day that chased them out of the barn and fixed the whole they came through.
The peach tree with be my next big problem. Thank you for the idea.
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. Happy squirrel-free gardening!
Thank you for the heads up on this latest video, you are a genius! I don't grow any fruit here, too cold in my neck of the woods in Canada, no peach trees for me though I've thought of blueberries... but not seriously. I think you may have a winner there, they could get used to it, but I think the sheer erratic movement and size possibly colour, are the perfect combination! I will tuck that into my memory banks, but I have no outdoor plug at the moment. Do they come in battery or solar? Right now I have my raised bed going as I said in the last video, and got hoops and put that veggie white covering over the seedlings, it seems to have worked. No messing at all from squirrels or chipmunks. Now this could be because the veggies are still small and the bed is waist high, but there's a handy fence and shed nearby for jumping points? So I am not sure how it'll go when I take off the cover. I will set up my Orbit motion sprinkler jet pointed their way if there's a hint of a problem. I also plant marigolds and geraniums nearby as they don't like the smell apparently, and tea tree oil too.
Glad you're getting to enjoy the "fruits" of your labours literally! I think your videos are fantastic, you must spend a lot of time editing, and your dry sense of humour is a hit with me as I'm originally British and we have that in our DNA I think! Your garden is lovely too btw.
I recently just had to clean out my garden shed, disgusting mouse nest filled with foul smelling urine in one of my garden pots ... truly cringe-worthy! 😤Now I read they don't like peppermint smell, so I'm putting cotton balls in the corners soaked in peppermint essential oil. Plus I cleaned it all with a bleach solution, so I'm hoping something works!?
Which reminds me, I bought fox urine pellets to ward off chipmunks etc, doesn't work. I also had squirrels chew through wiring under my car hood when I was at work, on the way home in a rainstorm my wipers quit working! Another time my headlights went out! The mechanic told me there was half a bagel stuffed down the side of my engine! I blame Doug the guy I worked with who used to feed the "rats with good PR" in the area where I parked my car!
p.s. I subscribed!
Thank you so much for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoy my videos. So far that thing is really working. I picked another bushell of peaches this morning. I'm not sure if they make one with solar or battery. Thank you for subscribing. Take care.
So fun to watch! Love it! Thank you and let us hope that human will win the war with squirrels in near future.
Thank you for the kind words. Glad you liked it. Humans have indeed won, with a little help from the big red thing. I just put a fresh peach pie in the oven.
I'm already digging trenchs as a woman behind my house for drains. If I do this, I'm sure my neighbors will be shaking their heads.😅😅😅😅
It works. But, you're right. Your neighbors will probably start to worry about you. Take care.
I'm not someone who laughs while watching a comedy. But you sir have me in stitches from beginning to end. I love your solution, however I'm a lottle afraid of those blow-up dancing thingys, plus I'd have to have a small army of them. Not to mention the unkind letters I'd receive fron our HOA. Thank you for being a ray of sunshine in this bizzaro world in which we're living.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes this world does seem bizzaro doesn't it. Don't let it all get to you. Take care!
LOL! I knew it! As soon as you asked what was big, scary, loud, with erratic movement, I said, the inflatable dancing man. Then you unboxed one!! 😆 I'm glad it's working. I can tell you, there's a family of feral cats that I feed, and about 10 other neighborhood cats that run around here (that I don't feed), and they just sit and watch the squirrels. Nobody ever even tries to catch one. They catch birds and bats though. The squirrels must run the neighborhood mafia.
That's great that you guessed it! It really is working too. I just harvested another bushell of peaches this morning. A nice peach pie sounds good.
Was was just out in the yard yesterday and snapped some images of the flowering brambles that appeared this year. They look just like yours - PlantID says they are Rubus Argutus - Sawtoothed Blackberry. Our rascals tend to be the Chipmunks.
Sounds right. Just don't end up face down in them. I really was. I would not recommend it. Happy squirrel-free gardening!
Your the best!
Thank you! Take care.
Ineresting! I might give that a try!
It works. I just picked another bushell of peaches this morning.
Great vid. Rodents get thirsty in the summer. A birdbath may solve your peach problem....
Thank you! Glad you liked it. Birdbath...interesting. Take care
You got me 😂🤣 OMG 😆 Nice video, I will buy an inflatable Dancer 😅 so the chipmunks can’t eat my plants roots anymore and squirrels don’t chew on my car cables. 👍🏼
Kind of goofy, but It really works. Glad you liked the video. Take care.
What an awesome story. I detest squirrels ever since they got into my Mum and Dads attic and chewed the wiring which started the fire that burned their beautiful log house down. They escaped, unharmed and the insurance covered their losses…sorta.😢
Wow! Sorry to hear about your parent's log house. Glad they're safe. I do not like squirrels either. Thanks for the kind words. Glad you liked the video. Take care.
Feral cat guaranteed gone😅
Haven't seen him in a while
Oh my goodness that was hilarious 😂😂😂...!
So glad you enjoyed it! Take care
I love your videos, I want one, I really want one. I got squirrels they chew leaves and flowers off the chestnut tree.
Glad you like my videos. So far, that stupid thing really works. I just havested another big bushel of peaches this morning. I'm thinking a nice peach pie.
Oh my god. Ur a fu#$ing genius!!!!!! I love it!!!!!!!
Thank you! Glad you liked it. You just have to laugh at things sometimes.
It’s rare to find a squirrel in my yard, when a new one shows up, it doesn’t stay long. ☠
Hopefully they stay that way. Take care
A rat 🐀 or squirrel 🐿️ has just trashed 3 of my landscape Bonsais I’ve made took me 3 years to get them both looking great and now it looks like a JCB RODENT has been over them 😓😓 but it’s natural I suppose so I might try the humane trap 🪤 and try rehome them somewhere maybe in the Pakistani 🇵🇰 area where they throw food out into the streets
Sorry to hear about your Bonsais. Hope you can prevent more damage.
Genius.
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it. Happy squirrel-free gardening!
Great video, I haven't that hard in a good minute!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it. Sometimes you just have to laugh. Take care.
🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏
Thank you! I'm so glad you liked it.
I've conquered the squirrels, for now. My neighbors cat pooping in my garden, not so much. I'm buying coyote pee as a deterrent! Never thought I'd actually pay for pee! Now, the birds are eating the leaves and immature fruit of my honeydew melon!! Gotta laugh to keep from crying😢😅😂
Sounds like the whole animal kingdom is coming for your garden. Don't let it get to you. Take care.
You know we can see in your window when you use your computer and login to order things online. You bought the scary red thing at the same place that sells those premium fruit and nut gift baskets delivered right to the front door? If we can get into your attic we can get into your computer room. Game on.
TO: Mr. D. T. Squirrel
Sir. As The How Do Gardener's legal representation for all matters squirrel related. And, given the lack of available recourse within the tree rodent judiciary system in regards to your blatant threats. I feel it incumbent upon myself to have my associate, Vincenzo "Vinny" Pinemarten pay you a visit to perhaps discuss this matter further.
Sincerely,
J. Farthington Honeybadger, Esq.

I am your brother in arms. (hint hint). But if not that, I recommend an electric fence - and not some namby-pamby .01 joule junk, either. I built my own. I use Ardunio controllers and high voltage high performance automotive coils. Nothing provides quite the satisfaction as seeing the squirrels jump in shock (no pun intended) as they traverse a path they once thought safe. They learn quickly, too. 1 day of electrified fence tops is all it took. They REFUSE to traverse a fence that was their regular path for 20 years.
Look, these "little angels" (er...demons) cause pain. Pain when you pay for their incessant damages. Pain when you watch them starve from overpopulation, and of course pain when they destroy your garden, your brake lines, your roof, etc. Pain for you, pain for your wife, pain for your friends who would otherwise enjoy the pomegranates and figs.
The bottom line is harsh, yet undeniable...they only understand pain. It is that simple.
You need not kill them, but treaties and bargains are impossible. They must FEAR coming into your garden MORE than the CRAVE the forbidden fruit.
Electric Fence. Legal, safe, 24/7 passive protection. A day's work, maybe 2. Around $100 bucks and you're ready to go. :)
Cheers my brother! Keep fighting the good fight, and remember the key word;
PAIN
🤣
Never give up; never surrender! Fight on!
😂😂😂😂 priceless
Glad you liked it. Take care.
This is Turley the only epic summer movie I'll watch
It ain't Star Wars, but I had fun making it. Glad you liked it. Take care.
