Oh wow u got one....my friend "neighbor" had me look after his garden for a week, birds squirrels were destroying it.... Just so happen to see my daughter's aired up snake on the ground. I put it right on top of the garden. I seen no squirrels birds for the next 3 years.... who knew 😆💪🏾....

I just came home to find my eggplants and strawberry plant cucumber plant all eaten wondering what could have done it definitely not a deer can't get in my yard never considered squirrels thank you eat every single leaf and flour left all the stalks chewed flat at the tops
In my experience the squirrels have yet to touch my eggplant and cucumbers. The sunflowers have been a pretty attractive bait plant to them. However if you don’t have a bait plant such as sunflowers, it could be possible. I’m not sure if you have rabbits where you live. It sounds like they could also be the culprits. I’m sorry to hear that, I hope whatever it is, it stops soon!
Good ideas! We have a couple owls on the fence posts and the birds just land on top of them. I’ll look for the solar powered ones.

Last year we grew "pop" corn, my kids really wanted to try growing it and making homemade popcorn... We took care of them all season and they produced a bunch of ears and they were starting to dry out, everything was going well. I go out one morning and... They. Are. ALL. GONE! Just remnants of their existence in the bed and around it. Going to give these tips a try!!! They also dug out my carrot seedlings and ate those in the fall 🙃 once they discovered there was food, they started disrupting my garden. Even tried to dig up my garlic right after I planted them, but thankfully left those 🤣🤣
Oh no that’s SO frustrating! Once the squirrels discover where the good stuff comes from, it’s hard to get them to leave your garden alone. Another thing that worked for me, was planting walls of sunflowers (50 sunflowers at a time). So basically giving in and giving them what they want as a distraction. They would just focus on picking away at the sunflowers slowly and leave the garden produce alone. Best of luck against the squirrels!
@Shelby Alyse I planted 3 rows of sunflowers last week as I do every year. About 1000 seeds. They dug all those up and ate them. They destroyed my corn last year. Like you said , once they know where the good stuff is they don't go away. I have a different plan for them this year. I type of stew. Haha.

Solar power owls work for about 4-5 days to maybe a week. They’re smart and get used to it. Save yourself some money.
It helps to move them often.
What’s wrong with birds ? They do have a motion activated sprinkler called scared crow ? Goes on for just a few seconds!
The birds can sometimes eat your garden produce like your tomatoes and your berries!
