- Heeeyy today’s 1-week-later-than-expected video is another “Fancy Sketchbook Session”! :D I had a lot of fun making this illustration and I’m really happy with how it turned out! 🐟✨I hope my explanations were okay, it’s my first time doing a Q&A type of video, and I’m suffering from the whole “imposter syndrome” thing lol 😂
(If my answers are a bit shaky or I keep saying “like” “uhm” “I guess” it’s because I’m still learning to have confidence in what I do haha, I hope it isn’t too hard to listen to 👀✨)

If you find free time to play with your colors. Dynamic shadows can be created by adding the complement of a color to the paint or adding more of a a deep red to a orange. Or blue to a purple.

If you’d like to have cleaner lines without having to buy a ton of fine liners. Get a hand on colourful ballpoint pens (they layer) and there are a lot of cheap options. + most of them are waterproof!

You said that you don't like the normal black lineart, and that fineliners are really expensive (which I agree on) but I recently got some very cheap fineliners, which I think are great (in my opinion). They're called the STABILO fineliners. There are many colors, and I'm pretty sure there's a pastel set. So, yeah, that's my recommendation for colored fineliners... Hope this helps!! :D
(Also, in some stores, usually art ones, they sell individuals for some of the colors, so if you run out, you can just by one and not the whole pack)
I have the expensive copic multiliner SP (entire set 10 for $90) yikes and so you know what I reach for my line art? My polychromos (or any colored pencil)... I've been really into softer line art.
Omg thank you so much for the recommendation I’m definitely curious to try those!! They’re super cheap here in Canada as well which is a miracle! 😂👌🏼 even though they aren’t water-resistant they look way too pretty for me to resist and the ink bleed effect looks cool tbh 👀
@@RecoverArt_Ivan same here, I’ve recently just really loved the soft effect of coloured pencils it’s so pretty! I usually only use my cheap black fine-liners from Amazon for when I’m in the mood for precise/bold line art! :P
Stabilo is expensive brand here in Brasil I wish it was cheap.

How do you use your phone as a camera? And I think green helps to make gold look shiny. I love you art and all your videos!!
I use this thing called a gooseneck phone holder from Amazon to film with my phone at that angle! I had it for like 4 years now and it’s amazing. Also I usually put my phone on timelapse mode to save space and then normal mode for talking parts.

Thank youu!! xD A watercolour paint set that I would recommend is the 12 or 24 colour White Night Watercolour set! they’re such good quality and very vibrant so I would highly recommend them for beginners because they won’t be hard to use and the colours will be super vibrant without much effort.👌🏼 Also, the quality means they can be used by intermediate and even professionals! Oh and since they’re a bit pricy in some countries, If you start off with a set of 12, you can expand your colour selection gradually since Jackson’s Art Supplies and some other stores sell the colours individually.
For drawing I would recommend mechanical pencils! They get super detailed and clean lines and any brand works tbh!

Hey I just started experimenting with watercolor and I went with Winsor & Newton Cotman 12 color palette and I'm having a blast with it. It was like $15 on Blick Art Supplies!
@@RecoverArt_Ivan Yes the Windsor & Newton Cotman watercolours are amazing I started out using watercolours with the pocket box set of 12! I had no idea they were that cheap, I checked on Amazon and the price is $50 which definitely isn’t worth it 😂
