YOUTH IS GREAT IN jSU BAND! I know cause I witnessed it when I dropped my son off to school (trumpet extrodinaire, lol..) and the dorm was flooded with band freshmen coming in most of the day. freshmen trumpets HEAVY this year and everybody feeling it!!
The irony of ASU band not being able to execute a heavily brass instrument driven song like Phil Colin's Susudio, pretty much told the story of their day.
I love Sussudio as a band arrangement. Having played Roy Johnson's arrangement of it when it was a hit on the charts (I think 1986), this one was simplified compared to the fire in his. So, this one didn't impress me in this battle, as I know it could have if the arranger hadn't kept it simple. JSU is bringing it. You can't respond with ok.

Tennessee State had a good rendition of it. Ironically they played it against Alabama State in 2014
