      the new design language to me don't suit best with the proportion, i looks like a tall and long minivan from the front three quarters, and don't forget reliability too, seems something that GM and Ford tends to forget

    • @dtay8913
      @dtay8913 Před 2 měsíci +1

      @ezrapardede1921 That's subjective. Buick is usually at average or slightly above in terms of reliability (which us weird because chevy, gmc, and Cadillac all share components). That plus 99.9% of the time you will get more money off the hood compared to the competition so that's a gamble I'm willing to take.

    I like the new design overall but i do prefer the old one's front. The new front is nondescript, generic and derivative. The old one had some character and identity. The new front could be a Kia, Hyundai, Jeep, Citroën, etc.

    It’s funny you mentioned you almost forgot Buick was still around. I did too! I thought they were only in China nowadays. The new designs are a massive step forward, but GM has to invest in some major marketing to reintroduce Buick to consumers. Buick is not top of mind, or even middle of mind, for most consumers. 🤔

    I’ve had the 2018 since 2018, 113,000 miles later... It was the previous design before the facelift in this video. I plan on getting the new one, not totally a fan of the design, looks basic where the old one looked art deco (if that makes sense). All of that said mine has been a great roadtrip car, and a great daily driver, I’ve had jobs with an hour commute and now a job driving into a large city daily, Buick did a great job, 0 issues mechanically.

  • @eyespy8088

    I actually prefer the greenhouse of the old model. It looks sleeker and cleaner. The rear door window pillar of the new model looks dated. The blacked out window trim makes the greenhouse profile look too tall. The new model in white with the chrome window trim and tinted windows makes it look more finished and better overall compared to the one in red with the blacked out window trim which makes it look more generic and emphasizes the not so attractive window pillar on the rear rear doors. Everything else on the new model looks nice and a big improvement.

    • @djplonghead5403
      @djplonghead5403 Před 2 měsíci

      The old model could have looked really cool. If they took that design and simplified it a bit, added a light bar, and horizontal grill, and removed a few weird lines the result could have been very sleek. I don't like the new vehicle design of "capable and boxy".

      Eh, not really. It just looks like a big suv. None of the graphics are similar - this car just lacks strong identity so it’s easy to read other designs into it. The overall proportions are similar because they are the same class of vehicle, but the design is much different.
