Elvis, commonly referred to as the '68 Comeback Special, was a televised concert of American singer Elvis Presley which aired by NBC on December 3, 1968. It marked Presley's return to live performance after seven years during which time his career was centered on the film industry.

Comeback special ,he never left. I have been a fan 67 years ,have seen a lot of entertainers but no one comes close to Elvis .He is a masterclass in entertaining Please remember when you are watching Elvis you are watching greatness .

When the Beatles were already done touring for the rest of their careers, Elvis was coming back. The Who, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and the Rolling Stones were breaking charts along with hundreds of other 60's world class musicians and Elvis shows up out of the boondocks just to make the world remember who's king!!
Raw sexuality, raw talent, raw looks, raw faith, raw generosity; he had it all. I pray he never will be forgotten.

Today is the 55th anniversary of the ‘68 Comeback Special and it’s still amazing to see what it did for music history.
I can't even believe this is possible. I've been sleeping on Elvis for too long. This is absoutely timeless and can never ever be repeated.
Elvis was king before I was born. My mom loves his music. Then later so did I. I also like his movies. Did not see them all, just when they came to TV. But never saw a bad one. Never understood why people put them down. No Oscar winners, but fun.
