Todd Tuckey shows you one of 5 different Bally Widebody pinball machines made...plus reveals a neat electronics first for this game! Bally made 2250 of these machines...a Low Run for the time.
So I am thinking about getting a game from you at near the end of summer to the end of the year. Curious as to the shipping rates to the west coast Seattle / Tacoma area... and does it differ if it is a pinball or a arcade cab. One other question... is it possible to install on either a headphone jack or adjust the volume on them because I live in an apartment?
Really looking forward to seeing a video on it one day. Great game. And how about a video one day on your private collection, or is that being overly nosey!?
ALL pinmball machines have an actual volume control tor turn the sound up and down. There was one group of 1977 pinball machines that had actual mechanical "chime coils" which would have no volume adjustment, but customers have simply placed a towel on top of them to quiet them if need be!
There is one of these machines in decent shape - but not actively running - sitting in the front of parlor in Seattle called Fenix Tattoo, right in the middle of downtown.
Yes it's such a shame Stonehenge is fenced so strictly... Being local I don't know why a couple of heritage staff couldn't use judgement and have police aware in case of yobbery... Still.... The summer solstice is great! Magical place, among many near me. Not that I've been for a good few years!
It was a low run...just 2250 machines made....I am guessing maybe 50 survive today? I actually threw out 2 of these years ago, when pinball machines dropped so low in value!
Very nice restoration definitely like your videos. The only upgrade IMHO that is missing is to change the OEM scoring displays from 6 digit to 7 digit. I have regularly racked up scores over a million quite easily and recently put up a 2 million score on my brother in laws machine. Here is a nice link on an upgrade to a blue 7 digit scoring display on pinside: pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/embryon-7-digit-mod-blue-xpin-displays-completed . I personally would like a red 7 digit display though....
TNT Amusements Inc always welcome to stop over or pop by SWL if you end up Salisbury way! (Apologies for absence guys... Trying to salvage a future!) Would be a pleasure and honour to meet you! (Perhaps I'll finally finish the characture I mentioned for a T shirt! The TNT motto would work well!)
I'm always impressed with the amount of work you put in to restore these machines. Steve did a fantastic job on that silver paint.
Thanks for the SWL shout-out! The best place to play pinball in the UK!
I had an Embryon pinball machine as a kid and loved this game. Hoping to find one again when I have room for it
Awesome info about the area that you dedicated this video to.

I wonder if someone will buy and restore it?
Centaur was a regular width machine!

Brett Smith Its a great idea...we will try it on the next Embryon!
Thanks for the response if not Bally's Embryon a Space Invader's to green 7 digit scoring display would be a neat project too.
Brett Smith skills!
Respect due I feel!
Silverball Mania was also a wide body by Bally from that era, that you didn't mention. enjoy your vids and knowledge, take care!
It was never a wide body...standard width! Look here www.ipdb.org
It sound very much like Fathom
Yes...the male voice is similar on most of this era!
Didn't this game capture 2 balls and when you did whatever was needed to release them the game said 'life begins' and you were playing with 3 balls?
boy I dont remember....we may have a second video up...
That's how I remember it. My favorite machine.
haha lucky daniel got at shoutout :) SWL salisbury rules
I want hear "embrión ach now"...

old refurbished pinball machines are just a big fat money pit...never worth it...
That's crazy. I was thinking about Avebury before. I walked around it once. Was playing some version of this table on Visual Pinball... and then this.
+Mark Datter :-) Yes...its one of England's treasures!
