I think it needs a revamp to get into the final but I actually quite like it - I just love when an entry is a bit quirky and different! He's a great performer.
The fact that Deban thinks this it's awful gives me hope, he also didn't like Maneskin. :) The package needs to be improved and it will be improved, TVR does not care about Eurovision but Theodor Andrei and his Romanian music industry connections do.

Thank you for your reaction! I appreciate your honesty and I like the fact the performance made you feel somehow (even if you didn't like it too much, lol), it's still important rather than watching something ultra generic as other countries sent this year...
I believe Deban's reaction is mainly because of the staging, it was bad, agree!! But what if he completely changes the concept into a fresh and modernised one that can make him shine? This way we could truly and fully focus on him and on the song. I really believe it's a song that can appeal to many fans WITH A POLISHED STAGING!! But I'm happy for the fact my country comes up with something we' haven't actually sent before, so this does have a chance, in my opinion. Wel'll see in 3 months. :D

The staging could use some work but all in all, Theodor's one of the best performers this year! Don't know why so many people are hating on it. It could possibly surprise qualify like Llamane did last year! The song's lyrics have about two or three different meanings to me, so the staging actually makes sense depending on the interpretation. If you react to the previous performance, you can see what the lighting and camera angles can just do with him on his own.
For someone who doesn't speak the language, the staging just comes across as trashy. Spain did half naked last year, but it came across as classy. This is the opposite of that staging-wise.
The song is all right but not really my thing.

There’s potential here. Andrei has a really nice voice, he has stage presence, but the staging needs to be fixed a bit. In my opinion, the wardrobe for the female dancers needs to be changed (I get what they’re going for here, I’m not a prude lol, but the lingerie itself looks cheap and there has to be some sort of costuming out there that would look a lot better). There should probably be less dancers, or the choreography needs to be revamped, because it looks a bit cluttered. I don’t know exactly what I am supposed to look at.
I actually watched this year's Selecția Națională and I can't say that I especially loved any of the songs so I'm not particularly mad about this performance(but not particularly pleased either). So yeah, it is what it is. I don't think we're gonna qualify. But who knows, maybe he'll revamp the song and it's gonna be ok. Hoping for the best ❤

You guys just don't get the lyrics, that is why you can't connect to the song, that si really a bad translation you have, he will change the staging too, his voice is beautiful, not "quite nice at times". Flat bellies are very common in my country, to be honest 😊
When you have a flat belly, why not showing it around? The beauty needs to shine everywhere in this world! And yes in Romania there is a lot of beauty that shocks most of the people who are not prepared to see it 😂

With a staging revamp done by professionals, the song has a chance. And as you said, less is more. He has stage presence, in my opinion, and all these half naked people take away from him and clutter the scene. But I voted for him in the Selecția Națională. It seems nowadays no respected singer in Romania would go even close to Eurovision, so it is only young unknown singers that compete. I hope he makes it to the final.

There really isn’t any real reasons for an established singer to go to Eurovision like let’s be honest. The competition is rather used as a launching ground for artists rather than one to amplify the already existing success of an individual.

the words are quite poetic so difficult to translate but it is about a man that likes the way a toxic woman plays with his desires and leaves him unsatisfied in the end. He enjoys the game. She has him around her finger. I think too that the staging could have been different and more sofisticated especially regarding the ladies, but it also reflects how he sees this woman, like this temptress that never completes what she is starting, leaving him hungry for more of her poison

Where is all this hatred towards an 18 year old coming from? It looks like you weren’t gonna give it a chance to begin with. The translation is a cheap one, it doesn’t do the song any justice. It’s sad to see people who have such an influence in the Eurovision community tearing down entries without thinking twice…
I mean, Deban is his usual self, William is at least trying. Idk why I keep checking their opinions hoping for some... sense. Don't get me wrong, I totally accept this song and performance are not for everybody but there's SO MUCH TO UNPACK. I feel like with some reactions they just get lazy.

I'm curious about their reaction to the semi-finals performance, heavily revamped but looks like he took the "less is more" advice wrongly and now there's almost nothing on the stage! His vocals were really on point though. I heard that TVR didn't back him up with the required resources. If that's true, then shame on them, they're really feeling out of touch for the past years, the national selection broadcast was a mess.
