I make the recipe, and it's good. I do add red pepper flakes for an extra kick. I do not use heavy cream because my household can't handle lactose. We use FairLife whole milk and I just add a bit extra flour to thicken it up ~ bonus less fat and still really good just not as thick
Yes homemade is the best. This reminds me of the time I ordered gnocchi soup from Olive Garden. It had 2 gnocchi in the bowl. I brought this to the attention of my server. She brought me a big bowl of gnocchi.

I tried this recipe twice and modified it to feed just me😂 I used Trader Joe’s brand gnocchi the first time and didn’t like it, the second time I used the gnocchi from the brand De cecco and it was amazing. I didn’t use the better than bouillon I just used regular knorr and it was still great! This seriously tasted just like olive garden!

Store bought gnocchi is never soft and fluffy like OG's gnocchi. And, since homemade gnocchi is so difficult to perfect, inexperienced cooks aren't likely to achieve the light and fluffy texture. If you've ever seen a recipe for gnocchi, you know this already. I watched the entire video, hoping to see some magical gnocchi technique, only to be disappointed.
You can try to pre boil in a separate pot of water or water-milk to get a higher temp to help soften it, then add it to the soup to finish “cooking” and hopefully soften more
I made this today! It was so yummy! I just didn’t really like the brand of gnocchi I bought. What brand did you buy Claudia? Other than that it taste so yummy!!❤❤❤
