We had 2 rugby teams in high school.
The highlight of the year was the traditional teacher Vs student rugby match.

I played almost an entire game with a fractured rib.
I was aware of the pain, just thought I was bruised after colliding with someones knee at full speed.
If you weren't bleeding or damaged in some way you weren't playing the game right.
Just brush yourself down, take a deep breath and get on with it, though I was knocked out cold once and that ruined my day.
