    I did a study on creatine in my sports nutrition class and creatine helps with energy storage. It turns ATP into ADP because ATP doesn’t have a long life span. Creatine will remove one phosphate tail so ADP (which has a longer life span) can be stored in the muscle until the muscle needs an energy source, that is when creatine placed the third phosphate tail to ADP making it ATP again. So my question is when you say creatine builds muscle is it because of the energy the muscle has or is there another way creatine actually improves muscle growth? Thank you man hope you see this comment n keep up the videos!

Having had health issues in the further past, I'm more tuned into and listen to my body more than the average (when mainstream medicine isn't a help to you whatsoever, it forces you to do this).
      Course the creatine dogmatists don't like to hear any of this. Creatine is only positive and never negative. They will actually tell you/us that creatine had NOTHING to do with our increased hair loss. Like we're stupid and can't notice basic and overt patterns like that/

Too bad that I get anterior compartment syndrome from it, preventing me from running more than 1 kilometer: due to increased pressure in the muscles, it measurable increases pressure in the muscle compartments at your shins. If you then start running, the extra bloodflow increases the pressure further, up to a point where bloodflow gets limited, leading to severe pain. Took a while for me to figure out, turns out there have been studies confirming this. I now quitted the creatinine, and as measured by these studies within 30 days pressure returned to normal and after months of problems I now have my ability to run long distances back! To date, 12 other studies have investigated the effects of creatine supplementation on testosterone. Two studies reported small, physiologically insignificant increases in total testosterone after six and seven days of supplementation while the remaining ten studies reported no change in testosterone concentrations. In five of these studies free testosterone, which the body uses to produce DHT, was also measured and no increases were found.

What 1, and just 1 study showed (because other studies seem to not be able to replicate the finding) is that creatine elevated DHT among participants, and DHT is associated with hair loss; but even the author of this study says, that although they observed an increase of DHT in the participants, but none of them experienced any hair loss. Meaning, again, that there's no scientific evidence showing a relationship between hair loss and creatine consumption.

      It most likely had this effect on me. I say most likely and not certainly, because I was also taking fadogia agrestis and tongkat ali for the first time as well. But a few weeks to a month into also lifting for the first time with the above, I started to lose hair quite rapidly and noticeably. It freaked me out and I quit all of it cold turkey.
      There are some indications that creatine does help with converting testosterone into DHT, which is what is primarily responsible for male pattern baldness.
      Meanwhile, fadogia and tongkat can help to boost testosterone levels allegedly.
      Whatever the case, something made me start losing hair like crazy, and these were the only things different in my life then. I don't give a flying f what arm chair theorists or the like say, my own experience showed me quite clearly what happens for my body at least. In a way, I guess this is a good thing in a sense, because it seems to indicate that I'm a hyper responder to creatine.
      But I'm vain about my hair and going bald. If I ever take creatine again, I will take saw palmettto and the like to counter balance the DHT conversion effect (and rub DHT blockers into my bald areas). Also, I will probably try the HCL version, because the monohydrate version had a pretty noticeable mucous forming effect on my body as well.

Ive had cycles off it and on 3 different occasions I've picked up injury's which may or may not be related but all tendon and ligament issues. damaged meniscus, partial torn Achilles and partial torn bicep tendon. when off it for a while or on it i never get issues but when i come off it seems i pick up knocks, strains or the above. might all be in my head but seems more than coincidence. Having said that it works well when on it for me and I get strength gains quickly

      Cope. They get mpb anyway and think it was the creatine which it isn't. My mpb has slowed down since I started taking it. So now what is it?
      There's no mechanism in the body that would allow creatine to affect hair growth and that one study that claimed it was disproven by every other study out there.

      @justinw1765 Před 10 měsíci

      A couple years ago, I started taking creatine monohydrate, with an herbal supplement with fadogia agrestist and tongkat ali. Also started to do weight resistant training.
      For the first and only time ever in my life, I started to lose A LOT of hair very quickly after about a month into it. I had long hair at the time and it was very noticeable/obvious.
      And yes, there is a mechanism--creatine seems to help with the conversion of testosterone into DHT. Meanwhile, there are other substances that block testosterone conversion into DHT like Saw Palmetto (if I ever do creatine again, I will take something like that to counter balance that effect).
      I gather that the combo of the herbs and lifting for the first time started to up my testosterone levels while the creatine started to up DHT conversion--hence the rapid hair loss.
      I also noticed that creatine had a mucous forming effect on me--meaning my body would create more mucous than usual after ingesting it.

    Prolonged external intake of creatine (as a supplement) can actually lead to under production of body's of resources of creatine and it should be prioritised to consume the plant based wholefoods which will allow the body to naturally produce it without any preservatives etc. 💯
