It was so frustrating in these 3 years to see them come short of the Championship every time, because we knew how insanely good this team was. This was the team who brought me to the OWL in the beginning of Stage 2/2018, and I was EverUpward ever since, the incredible friendship, of this players was what really made this team sooo good! Thank you for all you have done for this team @Saebyeolbe @Libero @Anamo @Mandu @Mano @WhoRU @BiaNcA @HOTBA @Nenne @ Haksal @MekO and the early leavers @Pine @Fl0w3R @Ark @Janus. I hope they can do something with the coaching staff, to bring some good players along the GOD MVP @jjoNak. Hope to see the team come back stronger then ever. I bought Overwatch a year ago and only started watching OWL maybe 6 months ago but I immediately fell in love with the NYXL! I remember watching SBB on tracer against the outlaws and was in pure awe. And then in June, my favorite player of all-time, Haksal, joined the NYXL and that sealed the deal for me. I began to rewatch all of NYXL's matches and fell in love even more! It's sad to see such a wholesome team fall apart. However, one thing that I noticed as I watched those vods is that every single player on this team is S-tier based soley off their own mechanical skill but their playstyles clashed a lot. Mano has definetly got to be the most passive tank in OWL while we have JJonak who is even more aggressive than Runaway-Vancouver Titan's Twilight. I feel like if the coaches had traded for an aggressive contenders tank (Yakpung, MuZe, Mag) earlier they could've built around a MuZe, Haksal, JJonak with a core reminiscent of the Runaway-Vancouver titans with Bumper, Haksal, Twilight. We would've been able to witness the passive NYXL we've known to be transform into a hyper aggressive like the Runaway-Vancouver Titans and Shanghai Dragons. When you analyze what really went wrong with NYXL this season you discover that it's not the fault of the core members but more of the coaches who forced a very passive playstyle on a hyper aggressive core (Haksal, JJonak). It's sad to see such a talented roster go to waste because of terrible coaches. Than you for listening to my Ted Talk :) Side note: I think that JJonak needs to realize that NYXL can't play around his zen anymore. This season it's been quite evident that the most impactful players are Tanks who control the pace of the match (Reason why Mano was a terrible match for NYXL core players). Even Viol2t, the best Zenyatta in the world has to play around ChoiHyoBin and Smurf instead of them playing around him! Since they dropped the entire roster they honestly should've just picked up Runaway-Vancouver Titans and brought them back to OWL. I doubt SF would trade away Twilight though so JJonak would slot right into his spot!
After not following OWL since season 2, damn does it hurt coming back now and not seeing NYXL as they were anymore. This team always had the potential to go far and was always a joy to watch play. Thank you for all the good memories New York.

NYXL was arguably the most lovable all korean roster in the league, they had such personality, and such great talent. Best team to never win grand finals before they all split IMO. (Yes I know Vancouver existed, but they got lucky by having an entire season with a barely changing meta that they dominated with, as soon as the meta shifted they suffered greatly and lost to shock)
vancouver still went 11-3 (1 loss to shock, and 1 to a heavily resurgent justice) when goats was declining and still made grand finals, plus they had severe management issues which led to player strife, to say they suffered greatly from role lock is just not true

They probably want to try to win and keeping the same core roster won't work cause they have already done that for 3 seasons only to fall short every time. And objectively they have only done worst in terms of standings and regular season performance since season 1. But yeah this season was extremely poor for them.
Even though I personally am not the biggest OWL follower, I have CRAZY respect for NYXL. Their team dynamics were one in a million, they had so much potential as a team and I truly think the league won't be the same without them. I wish only the best for all the current and former members and thank you NYXL for some amazing seasons.

NYXL was my favorite team in season 1, my home state didn't have a team back then so Pine, SBB and Jjonak were the main reasons I tuned in to the overwatch league every week.

It's the same every time. When you bring an entire roster up to owl and start tweeking it, separating the friends, that's when the ship starts to sink. It happened with New York, it happened with the Titans.
Yes they failed to win Season One. But they were the first example of true dominance in OWL history. Nyxl placed the first bar high, and encouraged teams to reach new heights with their strength. Miss you NYXL, may you join the S2 Titans in our memories as a true show-stopper roster, ended too soon.
2 things that are sad here, NYXL story, and the fact that BadPachimari has only 29 k subs (actually criminal). But for real, this is so sad dude, this team was the best team on the world when OWL started, Libero on genji, Pine on widow/Mcree, SBB on tracer, as a dps main I looked up this guys as legends, wish them all the best.

I think old nyxl the first stage runaway vancouver titans and envyus are my favourite teams when it comes to how much I like them as personalitys. These team felt like they were a group of friends playing and not Pro players that happend to be on the same team especially the case when it comes to runaway.
If it's the end of the OWl. Real Farewell to the NYXL, They gave me so many ups and so many downs as a fan but I would have never picked another team. #EverUpward

They probably want to try to win and keeping the same core roster won't work cause they have already done that for 3 seasons only to fall short every time. And objectively they have only done worst in terms of standings and regular season performance since season 1. But yeah this season was extremely poor for them.
The first ever OWL match I watched was the Illios game where Pine dominated, from there I became a huge excelsior fan. This hurts. Thanks BP

Even though I personally am not the biggest OWL follower, I have CRAZY respect for NYXL. Their team dynamics were one in a million, they had so much potential as a team and I truly think the league won't be the same without them. I wish only the best for all the current and former members and thank you NYXL for some amazing seasons.

NYXL was my favorite team in season 1, my home state didn't have a team back then so Pine, SBB and Jjonak were the main reasons I tuned in to the overwatch league every week.
I still go back to this video and see the old version of my favourite team. Always hits hard towards the end

It's the same every time. When you bring an entire roster up to owl and start tweeking it, separating the friends, that's when the ship starts to sink. It happened with New York, it happened with the Titans.
Yes they failed to win Season One. But they were the first example of true dominance in OWL history. Nyxl placed the first bar high, and encouraged teams to reach new heights with their strength. Miss you NYXL, may you join the S2 Titans in our memories as a true show-stopper roster, ended too soon.

2 things that are sad here, NYXL story, and the fact that BadPachimari has only 29 k subs (actually criminal).
But for real, this is so sad dude, this team was the best team on the world when OWL started, Libero on genji, Pine on widow/Mcree, SBB on tracer, as a dps main I looked up this guys as legends, wish them all the best.
This team was the first esports team I’ve actually followed. Gonna miss them. Gonna be rocking the NYXL skin during my matches from now on! NY baby!

I was an inaugural season Dallas fan. They're almost all gone. Then I was an Excelsior fan. Now they're almost all gone.
I think old nyxl the first stage runaway vancouver titans and envyus are my favourite teams when it comes to how much I like them as personalitys.
These team felt like they were a group of friends playing and not Pro players that happend to be on the same team especially the case when it comes to runaway.
