DIY Christmas Tree Collar Box - Inexpensive Easy Homemade Christmas Decorating Idea

- This quick tutorial will show you step by step how to easily transform a cardboard box into a decorative Christmas tree collar for your Christmas tree! I'll show you how to use drybrush techniques to create a distressed wood looking finish that adds a cozy textured look! This DIY Christmas decoration is an easy holiday craft idea that is not only a great way to recycle old cardboard boxes, it uses inexpensive materials! Change the look to fit your style by choosing different colored chalk paint or creating a different cardboard design on the box! Drybrush with gold or silver paint instead to create a metallic finish!

Who would have EVER thought of making a base container for a Christmas tree out of a cardboard shipping box ? Oh yeah, Christopher, the same guy who made a Halloween decoration out of an industrial floor rug he found at Menard’s. You never cease to amaze me and I mean that in very complimentary terms. 🤩
Wow what a cleaver idea! It looks just like an old fashioned crate. And it makes the bottom of the tree so "clean" and allows the Choo Choo train easy access around the tree. I love, love, love this idea!
