So.. Banana FT for breakfast, Vegan FT for lunch and "Italian" FT for dinner? yup, sounds about right..
What a brilliant plan!
My thoughts exactly, also an easy way to use up a loaf of bread going bad quickly.
Fuck no. Though that banana FT looks tasty its way too unhealthy for breakfast.
SCHTRAM it’s ok every once in a while lol
"We Upload Sunday and Wednesday"
And Monday aparently
I approve
Apparently so, what a surprise
Probably won't get a video on Wednesday, but yeah, not complaining. I'll do that on Wednesday :)
That's what happens when you have to fullfill that promo deal.
Right?!?
It's really fascinating how these 'normals' evolved through the years; I remember back in the Big Night In and 3 Things To Do With series Ben had to stand by and guide the boys with instructions, (sometimes even doing the majority of cooking.)
But after all those level ups and ultimate cooking battles the boys finally became independent enough to take charge of multiple recipes that Ben and we all are very proud of.
"A little bit of cream"
*A huge overflowing spoonful plopped on top*
It was in Jamie Terms
*chef kiss* A la Jaime!
"To make it look like I know what I'm doing.. a dusting of icing sugar" Nailed it.
"You can have this savory french toast for lunch and dinner" Bold of you to assume that I wouldn't have the sweet french toast for dinner.
You do you!
This is me exactly! Love your comment
My family makes sweet french toast for dinner at least a few times a year.
I am 100 times more likely to have a "breakfast" designated food later in the day than a lunch or dinner food for breakfast. Unless it's pizza. And I had to stop in the middle of this to make French toast, so THANKS JAMIE
Quinn Grey no lie. I just had French Toast for dinner.
“give it un whoosh” - Why Jamie, votre Franglais is tres good.
Tellement vrai 😂
"oune woosh"
as someone with an egg allergy, I’m ALWAYS on the lookout for recipes that I never thought i’ll be able to eat. Mike’s vegan french toast is a winner!!!
Morgan Smith have you tried just egg by the same people that make just mayo? It’s an incredible egg substitute. Life changing.
Brioche contain eggs. ;-) Be careful....
Unexpected Sorted Vid?? Happy Monday to me!
I thought the same and then it hit me it might be an accedental upload of wensdays episode :(
Same I’m so glad
It's a Monday 🤔 Definitely not complaining though, love you guys
Happy Monday!!!!
I thought it was Wednesday☹
Not complaining though. Love the vids
Here in India we've been making "french toast" the savoury way all along! Our mother had been packing us that for lunch through school. And maggi of course 😅
Kristie Ray same here! I’m from Bangladesh and my mom always called the sweet version Bombay toast, and the savoury/spicy one French toast. It always seemed a bit backwards to me 🤨
america too and I am gonna assume the rest of the world to be honest haha
First thought when Jamie started speaking French was that Ben is going to one-up him and go through his entire recipe in French.
A sorted video? On a Monday?? I am blessed
Same thoughts
I legit just checked my calendar to make sure I hadn't missed a couple days somehow
(Sponsored by Kenwood)
I'm a simple man:
I see a Sorted video on a Monday....
It immediately gets better!
“I thought you are calling it non classic French Toast so that the French don’t lynch you”
Lol when he said that I flash backed to the paella burrito incident 😂
Okay who in the Sorted kitchen goofed and uploaded on a Monday? Baz,Mike... JANICE? 😁
I would love to see risotto done three ways. It can be super simple but also surely taken to the next cheffy level?
Yes!
I like that idea!
Way to go, SortedFood, making me question my internal clock and my moral compass at the same time.
Relay race idea
Theme - Everyone must pick two pretentious ingredients from a bucket which they must use in the final dish.
Order - The scariest order possible in terms of performance.
Hello :D How about comparing three different Tiramisus?
Yesssss!!!
According to Italy, there is only one way to make Tiramisu.
Best case: a second Sunday in the week.
Next-best-case: a bonus Sorted video.
What a wonderful way to start my week. Thanks guys😊😊
Jessie 19 I agree
Thank you for continuing to include a vegan option😘
Every time there is a banana on this show you guys turn suddenly 12 and this makes me laugh so much 😂
Not gonna lie, I had a real Rip-Van-Winkle moment and legitimately thought I slept through two days of work for a second
Mid-Monday blues? Sorted.
Fish & Chips Three Ways - Lager Batter/Ale Batter/Stout Batter... My voice in the wilderness!
Jamie & I definitely had same French teachers. Don't worry that duolingo bird will help you get through.
By holding you on gunpoint. Blink once if duolingo bird is in the room with you, blink twice if it's not.
I want 2 creative Hummus recipes - all of them prepared by Jaimie
Ok, who pressed the wrong button?
Give them a raise! I hope this is a bonus and we get another on Wednesday 👍👍
Savoury over sweet any day any time of the day!
Guys please please do a biriyani video 🙏 or even an outing discovering London's best Biryanis.. Please
I miss Barry and Ben being the best of friends.... And living together in their country cottage. Just saying 😂 I'd love to see you guys comparing three burrito recipes! (Jamie, let's not make the news though! 😊)
You just gave me a heart attack thinking it was Wednesday
Same! I was confused!
Me too 😂
Me too, I actually had to think if it really was Monday or if I had skipped two days, which wouldn't surprise me if I had. #creatureofhabit
@@ansob6251 omg I know right?! I came home to this on my smart TV and was like "What the actual efff is this magic?! ♥️" #sortedMondayWin
Me, too! I was very confused 😅
Sorted on a Monday? Best. Monday. Ever. Thanks for chasing the Monday blues away!
OMG Sorted! I'm literally less than 12 hours out of a very painful emergency surgery, woke up so sore and crying, looked over at my phone and had an alert that you uploaded a video on a Monday. Completely turned my whole mood around! I don't know why you did this, but I'm ridiculously grateful that you did. Thank you so much. 😁
Thanks Mike, for calling Ben out on the three halves of one whole... ^_^
Thank you Janice for making my monday alot better!
All hail Janice!
I'm really grateful we got a video today, but also scared we don't get one for Wednesday
Can we maybe get a new "season" of Mystery Night? I loved that format :)
I want this as well
Thank you so much for featuring more vegan recipes!
And you’re right about how you really have to put thought into vegan food to have it compare to traditional recipes, which often results in some pretty innovative and creative recipes :)
OMG yes multiple ways to French toast! Looks delicious 😍😍😍
French Toast for Northerners
Bread
Eggs
Milk
Ketchup
Call it Eggy bread as we’re not posh
Enjoy
Damn straight. Exactly as it should be haha
French toast has always confused me. It's just sugary eggy bread! Eggy bread belongs on a fry up not with fruit and cream!
I feel like eggy bread and french toast serve two different purposes. Eggy bread is delicious and easy and I have it with baked beans or a full English or when I'm camping. French toast is when you want to impress the in-laws or something. Honestly, I've only ever had french toast when I've gone out somewhere for breakfast - eggy bread is what I do at home.
DEIVION212 We have that too... but hey I don’t claim to be posh.
Will be having eggy bread for tea after the lads show today 😁. Might go a little off plan and try adding a smidge soy sauce... just to be slightly different! (That’s me trying to be posh.)
In the past every time i make "french toast" i've always improvised savory versions. Not based on any particular recipe, just flavor profiles that i enjoy so seeing Ben make a savory version is pretty great :)
You guys are genuinely one of my favourite CZcams channels, so unique and I love the personality that's put into every video!
Upload on a Monday??
I just suddenley had to check I hadn't forgotten to pick my children up from school, as I normally do on a Wednesday!
Jamie + one French class + years since said class = OMG!!!😅
@@vincentpinto8240 sounds the same to me!!!
@@vincentpinto8240 😁👍
Yay, an extra Monday treat, thanks guys!!👍
Ebbers had the win on this one for me, I love the new idea of savoury French Toast, yum!! 😋
the french left after the first recipe xD loving these vegan options thrown in with the rest, I often end up taking the things i like from all three :D
I love the occasional extra upload. Thanks guys!
But... But today's Monday. I'm not complaining, I'm just confused!
I definitely loved this one. I’ve been wanting to try a savory French toast for a while. My usual French toast at home is sourdough bread, custard made from eggs, whole milk, cinnamon, and honey, fried in butter, and then I usually make blueberry or blackberry syrup to go on top which is just a couple tablespoons of maple syrup and a good handful of either fresh or frozen blueberries or blackberries cooked together in a saucepan until the berries have burst and let out liquid and then the whole thing has reduced slightly. It’s my way of not using so much syrup and also getting a good serving of fruit. It’s not too sweet, but really satisfying. Oddly sometimes I think the Brits oversweeten when they make American food is breakfast, specifically pancakes. Americans prefer pancakes and French toast very lightly sweetened and then we make it sweet with syrup.
Oh man! After a shoddy day at work, this has relieved all my stress. Thank you so much!
I'm Australian, don't speak French, but offended by Jamie on behalf of France. But damn that was hilarious. More please 😘😂
I'm French
And that evenr more funy when you know what he's supposed to say 😂
I'm so confused, happy and hungry at the same time. Love sorted ❤
Good lord do these look amazing! Thank you for the inspiration for an aspiring chef! Love you guys! Have a wonderful week!
I recently found your channel and am loving it. Pretty sure I have watched almost all your videos in the last month. You guys are great! As a Canadian I would love to see you guys do a poutine battle! It can be done as a breakfast, meal and dessert so gives you some options!
This is the best gift I could have asked for on a Monday!
You really gave me a fleeting glimmer of hope thinking it was already mid week, and now I have to return to reality
I think this is my favorite video of yours ever. Every one of those dishes looks mind boggling good.
Seeing that that bowl of Pho in the opening sequence always makes me want some, 3-ways-compared Pho would be awesome, especially with a recipe that is doable when one is a bit constrained in the resources of time, money and elaborate equipment. Love your videos
I had to check my calendar to make sure I wasn't missing something. Turns out it really is Monday and we got a sorted video
I'm definitely doing a savory French toast. I'm gonna try a spinach and cheese version. It's like quiche really.
No wonder why Ben did it then ...
Jamie saying oo la la to the banana had me in pieces
You guys should totally try Northern Irish food, potato bread, soda bread, fifteens etc. Soooo good!
Not gonna lie. If I was making Ben's recipe I would have to make it a sandwich by adding another slice ontop of it.
Well happy Monday to us 😍
I really appreciate Ben describing whether you could tell the difference between 1 & 2! That’s what I was wondering
It's not even Sunday and that joke at the end by Jamie was brilliant! Regarding the wedding toast haha! Keep it up!!
Wow! Loved the video! Going to try the Vegan one soon!
Do steamed rice cakes next!
Jamie: breakfast
Mike: lunch
Ben: dinner
Not the toast. Them.
Jamie is married though so you gonna need to find someone else for breakfast!
@@NanaOseiTutu James will do.
Having had the tri blade thing for years this is the first time I've seen the whisk attachment. Its the best thing since sliced bread.
I've been working pretty much exclusively from home this past week and this Monday upload genuinely made me worry I'd just skipped 2 days XD excellent video as always though so I cant complain
Still waiting for that "Lost in translation" series to come back and y'all make some Peruvian food with Peruvian chefs just speaking in Spanish.
4:45 I thought Mike said “That is as thicc as Jaime” until I hear the enunciation of the “...’s.”
My exact same thought!!

I recognise that savoury French toast... make it all the time. Glad to see you guys have levelled it up, I'm excited to try it.
I reckon a drizzle of cashew "cream" or a dollop of coconut yogurt or ice cream would bring the vegan one to a different level! They all look brilliant though 👌
Oh wow, here before the notification and on a monday? Christmas is early boys.
everytime i see vegan dishes, I get so excited and happy thank you guys :D
I don't... less then 4% of the populace is Vegan, now imagine the same effort went into a proper French toast. Missed opportunity imo. Still gotto say the savory tomato/onion one was a great twist.
@@d3c0yn4m3l355 The thing is, even if it is Vegan you can still enjoy it even if you're not vegan.
My favorite breakfast food. My favorite food channel unexpectedly uploading.
My Monday is officially good.
In the Netherlands in Friesland we use Fries suikerbrood for French toast, it is a loaf with sugar and cinnamon in it. And it tastes delicious.
After the panic of thinking it was Wednesday had subsided, it was time to settle in and watch Jamie insult another nation 😂 what a treat 🤩
As a french guy, Sacré Bleu! What have you done to our pain!
Nah but I loved the video, cheers :) Gonna try these out
Same! I was very confused at the savoury pain perdu
All 3 versions look like they'd taste amazing but growing up, my mom legit just whisked an egg, soaked a thin slice of bread in it, and pan fried it and I loved it. I've had all sorts of fancy French toast at resturaunts too but I think I'll always find the simple version nostalgic and my favorite 😂
I was just thinking about what to have for breakfast, thank you 👌
Thank you for including more vegan food lately! I'll make Mike's toast, for sure.
Jaimie's command of French is just like mine 😂
Is a Monday video going to be a regular thing? I hope so
Same. And I don't even speak French.
Thats a good begining (i'm French) 👍
I love savoury French toast! Definitely giving Ben's version a go once my garden tomatoes are ready 🍅
A few years back in my culinary class the kitchen was overstocked on a few things so they had a chopped style cooking challenge with them. I ended up going with pasta, but I didn't know what I was going to do with my chunk of bread until I realized I could make savory French toast and put the pasta atop it (carbs but shuddup). Very happy to see the world of savory French toast explored yet again.
When you're Polish and don't know what "polish pastry" is...
Laura Gantz makowiec maybe? lol
"And a sprig of m--" BASIL?! WHAAATT?
wow, these all look amazing. I'd genuinely cook them all
Omg, I want to eat all of these! I need to try these recipes, amazing job!
i was just looking for something to make this afternoon. bon travail les beaux gosses!
Give one of them a go!
"Now it's time for some more banana action..." Umm, PHRASING!
I Love watching you guys cook and now even have my hubby hooked, you guys should do some South African dishes like vetkoek (a fried bread with curry mince filling or some other ideas like hamburger fillings or..... Im confident you will surprise us :)
Thank so much for all the vegan videos lately! I was just thinking about making French toast but didn’t know how to make it vegan and good.
Oh my God I will love Mondays if this will become a regular thing
5:24 and I'm still here Mike 😂 I'm French and I approve this video
That savoury french toast is definitely worth a try! I love the addition of cheese to the custard, yum.
I feel like Ben is the hero I didn't know I needed. Thanks for the interesting twists on French toast!
