- Happy Friday ya'll 🤗Here's a BOMB product combo I discovered some time last year. I'm mad that I didn't put ya'll on sooner but better late than never 🙌🏾Am I the only one who thinks this Soultanicals Gelly is slept on? Or maybe I just live under a rock 🤔 What ya'll think of this product combo?? Will you be trying any of these products 👀

I so appreciate you have a different texture in the front like myself. I never use heat so I would be so annoyed about this section.
I don’t know why this style don’t work for me! My hair texture has a loose curl but I never had luck with this. When my hair grows back back I’ll try these products. Your hair looks so nice!!

Caramel Coils My hair would literally shrink to my head when I do wash &go’s. This was before I cut everything off. My hair was super long but it changed after I had my daughter. So I cut it all off. Now that my hair is fully virgin , I can see my true texture and all. So when it grows longer I’ll try a wash & go.

I love your hair! My daughter has 4C type and I’m new to this. I usually keep her hair in ponytails braided or twisted, but she’s wanting to have it down n loves your hair! She said she wants it like yours, but I’m having problems with it tangling. I did her wash n go for the first time Monday and it went well, but I noticed her roots didn’t stay together n her ends were like little coils. I used grape seed oil, Cantu leave in conditioner and eco style gel. Am I doing something wrong and what do you recommend me using for the tangles? Do I untangle in the shower? She’s only 8 and I don’t want to see her cry anymore, help!!
Erika Contreras I have two daughters 6 and 3 both have different texture hair. I always detangle their hair and mine with warm water daily, never on dry hair otherwise it will break off. I would try adding product to the roots to keep them flat and continue as you normally would. I use a spray bottle. Hope it helps
You definitely want to detangle in the shower, NEVER on dry hair. Make sure you’re detangling in SECTIONS. The smaller the sections the better. After you detangle each section twist it to avoid it getting tangled again. As far as wash & gos you probably aren’t using enough product. Don’t be scared to use a lot of product & make sure to evenly distribute it from roots to tips of each section. Wash & gos aren’t the only way to wear her hair down though. Twist outs may be better for her if she’s struggling with keeping her hair detangled. It could also be the products you’re using, don’t be scared to experiment with other products. I’m not sure how moisturizing that leave in is but you wanna make sure that first layer of product is extremely moisturizing/hydrating. Caramel Coils Think I bought all their masks, shampoos, deep conditioners, and a few twisting creams. Also their clay. So far only tried marulu-muru and twist assist on the hair that’s loose. I like them. Good for sealing moisture.

Your hair is so beautiful!!! I tried wash n gos a couple of times (4c) and they look great when I'm putting product on it but when it drys, my hair shrinks up so bad that I low key just gave up. Any tips?

(3c/3b) So I did a wash and go for the first time a a couple days ago,and I was just so lazy 🤦🏽♀️.So after I put my leave in,I took the butterfly fly clips out and let my hair down,and my newly natural ass attempted to..you ready? Just style my hair that way..yep,I attempted to just style my hair how it was,all down..And as you’d think,really only the top part of my hair got covered with product 🙃.The hair closer to my face and scalp barely,or didn’t get any product at all..

I have the coil boosting gelly and I tried it with the friz whiz leave in and I didnt like it. I also have the biotin gel but haven't used it. I guess I'm going to try them all together.

@@CaramelCoils I'm still indifferent about the leave in. I have tried it and liked it. Other times I haven't. I haven't used the bottle up yet so I'm going to keep trying it.
The combo made my hair dry, it wasn't very defined and there was no hold but I guess that's because it's a gelly. I have 4b/4a hair.

I've been wanting to try the Coil Boosting Gelly because I love how good their Frozen Drip and Grip gel is. But I was worried the hold on the jelly wouldn't be strong enough so I always hesitated buying it. You gave me the confidence to give it a try, I'll probably end up layering it also. Do you prefer doing your WNG in the shower or do you get the same results either way?
Olivia Fitz Omg I’ve always wondered about that gel! Is the hold there? & yess do it! Please let me know how it works for you & what you decide to layer it with! As far as my wash & gos, I don’t think I’ve ever done my entire wash & go in the shower because personally outside of the shower I get to gauge my water to product ratio better. Product tends to slide off of my soaking wet hair, hence why I’d rather just re-wet my hair with a spray bottle. Hopefully that helps 💕
@@CaramelCoils Yes it's actually a strong hold for a botanical gel! Stronger than the Kinky Curly Custard, but not as strong as Wetline. You could get away with using it by itself and still have a cast for the week. The more you use, the stronger the cast will be! Ty for answering that question also. Most people say to do them in the shower but it makes sense that doing outside of there will help with product application! ❤️

How long do your wash n goes typically last? And do you deep condition every wash? I notice if I go too long it’s matte city!! Lol I need to find a balance.
Marianne J Lmao matte city 😂 I felt that tho! Mine usually last 3/4 days. If I’m not ready to wash then I may just throw it into a puff because it’s too frizzy to wear down. & Yes pretty much every wash day! The only time I don’t is let’s say, I have to do a quick style that requires me to have freshly detangled hair (slick top knot/bun) & it’s not time for wash day. I’ll probably just cowash & go straight to styling my hair. Hopefully that makes sense. But yess balance is key 🙌🏾
How did you figure out what porosity you have?
I knew because 1. It takes a long time for my hair to be fully drenched in water on wash day 2. Deep conditioners usually just sit on my hair instead of actually penetrate it when I don’t use heat 3. When I’m applying product, I have to put a lot of effort into making sure it’s actually penetrating my hair(e.g spraying lots of water, really raking it in, sections, making sure every inch of each section is being equally saturated in product, etc)
