STUNNING ride on Amtrak Empire Service

  • If you watched some of my earlier videos, you might remember when I saw part of the Hudson River from an MTA train in the New York City metro area. That ride was gorgeous in its own right. It turns out however, I can take Amtrak even further, and when I did this, that ride got better the further away I got from the city as hills turned into mountains. This video is the return trip since I was able to snag a river viewing window seat unlike on the original trip. I filmed all the way from Albany-Rensselaer station until third rail electrification began. This trip so far was the most geologically interesting ride I have taken in the Northeast United States.
