Take a peek into just a few of the items inside.
*Each pack will vary depending on their individual role in the section

nah bro went to foam mat to m72 rocket launcher
in 2 sec
Sorry about the jump scare
@@NZDefenceForce it was so scary but al goods
I, too, Often take an M72 LAW when tramping in the bush. If I'm up against Deer that are running composite armor, it really does make the difference.
They used to hold a few cans of Anchor and when you stopped for the night near a stream, put the 72 into a stream to cool the brewskies down.
Those sleeping bags are hefty
wouldn’t rifle cleaning kit be in webbing? It was in the old days
Hopefully I can go for my intake next year👍😁
Did you end up going?
Now do it with a grunts kit😂
They really giving 19 year olds rocket launchers, AND I LOVE IT
Wait...👀💀you don't have a rocket launcher in your pack? #betterworkstories
@@NZDefenceForce Bruh 😂😂😂
17 year olds
Add three more rat packs, 100 rds of 7.62 mm, spare batteries to radio, 3 x frag grenades and 1 x Willy Pete, socks, para cord, shovel, firstaid kit, tent pegs. More like 40kgs.
Hopefully, I join the army this year.
25kg feels light, but carrying it would be an absolute pain. Sign me up!
It is they are missing another 15kg in ammo etc
I'd love to join but I'm not old enough yet
Do NZ army deploy in foreign missions and countries please reply anyone?
Don’t forget the rocket launcher whatever you do 😳🙂💖
It's a sky rocket launcher
From a British army perspective I’m surprised the roll mat is just stuffed on top flat
Folded under the top flap, or on Alice packs beyween the frame and back or elasticated underneath the pack. I only put my thernal mat inside folded if its in freezing conditions which not all of nz is.
thats what I take for camps even the rocketlancher wait thats not right I mean not the rocketlancher
and those wet wipes can make you look like you pissed your pants
👀
@@NZDefenceForce Ummm nothing
That Hoochie is it in the new MTP?
Nope
is 30 eligible to join NZ army?
No u old
Is the lighter for when it’s time to have a blaze with the bros when your out in the bush?
I never knew that your guys packs were that light I thought it was like 60 kg.
Also is that standard or do you carry more when you go on overnights just curious
When I was in, that was the official standard load for the BFT. So we had to carry that, plus webbing and rifle and march 12 km in under 1 hr 50 min. Whenever we were actually going out overnight we'd carry double that or more.
Once you march out of basic you can pretty much take what you want. Most peoples packs are anywhere from 30kg to 50kgs. I've heard of people having up to 60kgs though
@@tomdickson8384 whats the terrain like that they trek on i do pest control in the bush and carry between 30kg and 50kg but have a shit time lol.
But thats on tracks that are maintained maybe 1 or 2 times a year and is usually hilly terrain with lots of river crossings.
Do they put recruits or soldiers through that for conditioning. Just curious on what their training is like
@@tyresesummers4218 all depends where you are mate, dip flat is the worse I'd say, mosy places we go through a pretty hilly
@@tomdickson8384 yeah going along rivers is pretty bad but its all bad if it rains
Do we have Nlaw or Javelin??
Javelins yes
I'm just waiting for some god of war minor to mention how they carry double, triple even quadruple the weight 17x the distance because apparently that is so much cooler, they are so much harder and it is so much war..er 😂😂😂 oh, there they are, happens every time....
Child's play, go UA Army pack. 2x heavy
No thryre not hahaha
Wet wipes..... really?????
If you want a heavy load try carrying a deer out whole
Proper hard you are mate, everyone is jealous.
According to Tough Guy Matty, hygiene is for snowflakes.
I bet washing your ass is probably to queer for you.
@@dusters3507 XD doesn't know field hygiene.
Why would a recruit need to carry a whole deer? A deer in general?? Just because???
I hated those mess tins. Mini frying pan with gas cooker all the way
