What a beautiful looking pen 🥰 I like that it’s a comfortable looking pen and the bling is gorgeous ❤. It reminds me of the night sky when the full moon is out, or even like the cosmos
The threads weren't comfortable at first but I am getting used to them! And yes, just like a night sky! Great analogy.

I have so many Franklin-Christoph pens because I cannot live without the SIG nibs from Audrey Matteson! Almost all my steel nib pens have one of her nibs, even my Leonardo that has a regular (eg not gold or CSI) nib.
I've heard great things about her nibs and may get one at the next pen show!
Watching this reminded me to get out my three FCs to compare them. I have a 31, 20, and pocket 66. The 31 is the only one with a “full size” grip. This is my personal experience with it, and I thought it might give you some “food for thought” as you get acquainted with yours. The threads are definitely a bit pronounced, but the grip is so long that I have plenty of room for my fingers without implementing a choke hold on the nib or ending up back on the threads. My fingers tend to settle right in the middle. I know every person’s grip is different, but spend some time writing with it without specifically paying attention to what your fingers do and see where they end up. You might fall in love, or you might hate it. Either way, the Ascension Wing is stunningly gorgeous. Welcome to the FC family!! 🥰💜

Haha, by definition, that is a deathgrip when your fingers bend the other way. Non-death grip is when you can actually remove the pen from your grip by your other hand.
Actually, if you want to be technical, “A poor pencil grip sometimes dramatically referred to as the “death grip”, is define by Occupational Therapists and Handwriting Teachers as any that causes a closed web space, restricting the movement of the fingers and wrist, making handwriting hard work. The most effective grip recommended for children by Occupational Therapists and Handwriting Specialists worldwide is the tripod grip, which gives an open web space. This allows the fingers to move freely so that a fluid handwriting style can be achieved.” So the tripod grip is actually how I hold my pen so not a death grip.

Hi Karyna. I just got that pen a few days ago. First Goulet order I have made in a very long time. I got the same stickers and same flavor tootsie pop too.
Thjs is my first pen by this brand but the pictures really jumped out to me. I don’t regret ordering it all.
I like how the pen is actually subtle enough to use for most things but does have some “bling.”

Yay, pen twins! The threads were a bit uncomfortable to start with but I'm getting used to it. I love twirling it in the light to see the really subtle sparkles.

I'm surprised it's your first Franklin-Christoph! They're wonderful pens, nibs always come perfectly tuned. I find myself torn between F-C's and Edison pens -- can't go wrong at all with either!
Yes I've found the nib perfect so far, even with the shimmer ink! There was no real resin that jumped out at me and this did! Jennifer of Stormwind Blanks does amazing work.

1. Maybe you could press down on the top of the clip to raise the end of it.
2. The Model 31 is an older model; newer models have the threads down at the nib end of the section out of the way for normal grippers.

I was gifted a model 31 and I've had problems filling the FC cause the ink pools inside of the lip of the grip section and bloops out on the page which is annoying so I always have to syringe fill the converter cause I'm afraid of bloopage :)
I just fill mine from the bottle and then clean out that channel around the nib by wiping it with the corner of a paper towel. Definitely something that needs special consideration with the Model 31.
