    I love my Bissell vac mop. Just bought it all though mys don't steam. After the first use my water look like mud. I thought i was cleaning well with my old mop🙂. So glad i invested in Bissell mop vac😉😉

      Hola Yeimi, no la he comprado aún, porque primero he estado mirando videos y leyendo información de mopas de vapor de otros fabricantes para estar bien seguro de la compra que voy a hacer, ya que no son baratas o mejor dicho, las que se ven de mejor calidad son las más caras. Te cuento que se me hace muy necesario comprarla, porque mi hermana tiene una grave plaga de pulgas y garrapatas dentro de su casa, y una de las mejores maneras de eliminar ese problema, es haciendo barridos con vapor a alta temperatura de todas las superficies (piso, muebles, colchones y ropa de cama, etc.), por varios días seguidos.
      Bueno, de lo que he visto y leído, te puedo decir que esta mopa de la marca Bissell es una de las dos mejores hasta ahora (hay otra de la marca Karcher, que es parecida en forma y precio, pero no he visto sus videos aún), considerando el factor calidad/precio. Hay otras que tal vez sean mejores, porque son de uso industrial, pero son muy, muy caras ($700.000, $1.500.000 o más de pesos chilenos). Este modelo de Bissell, me gusta mucho por el diseño que tiene, por las posibilidades de desarmarla, de ajustar el largo del mango, la facilidad para sacar y poner el recipiente donde está el filtro (parece que es un filtro de aire). También me gusta porque se ve robusta, o sea, que no se va a romper con facilidad y que va a durar una buena cantidad de años.
      Otra información que te puedo traspasar, es que he leído malos comentarios de la mopa H2O MOP X5, porque no llega a una buena temperatura. Fui a una tienda de Antena 3 Directo y se ve débil, da la impresión de que se puede romper con facilidad, es la más barata en el mercado, pero puede ser plata perdida fácilmente. Hay un video que muestra que la prueban, míralo porque es muy bueno. Pone atención que esta misma mopa de vapor, la están vendiendo con otras marcas y a veces a precios súper altos.
      Otra cosa negativa: Mi hermana se compró un vaporizador manual para su problema, eligió una que se llama SC1, pensando que era de la marca Karcher y estaba en “oferta”, o sea, a bajo precio. Resultó que es una copia: tiene una forma parecida y los mismos colores, pero después de usarla un par de veces, recién se dio cuenta que no es Karcher, porque yo había visto un video de ese modelo y le pregunté por los accesorios y claro, la que ella compró no los tiene, además, el recipiente de agua es muy chico, por lo que hay que estar recargándola muy seguido.
      NOTA IMPORTANTE: Esta mopa de Bissell, aún no la veo en directo, o sea, aún no la he tenido en mis manos para inspeccionarla de cerca y de manera más real, espero que lo que muestran los videos, sea cierto. Lo que me va a ser difícil comprobar, es la temperatura a la que llega el vapor, eso lo podría ver sólo después de comprarla. Finalmente, te puedo decir que es bueno que sigas viendo notas y opiniones, porque es una buena manera de saber y tener seguridad antes de comprar. Chao, un saludo desde Chile.

    Is this hard to push around? I have a Shark steam mop that works great, but it is a truly arduous process-
    It’s a full workout to mop a larger room. I also have the Crosswave, which I love because it’s so easy to push/ operate. I imagine it doesn’t clean as thoroughly as steam, however.

    Thanks so much for the info & demo. I purchased this steam mop/vacumn & can't remember where the instruction booklet is. Only thing that I didn't see was how to empty the water container. Did I miss that? GREAT VIDEO DEMONSTRATION!

      Hi Shelley, you can leave the water in the machine, since the water tank it’s not removable you don’t have to empty it out.

      @@barbarabowen5627 Advertising this device as a mop if probably misleading a lot of people. The Bissell Symphony is a vacuum hybrid, but it does not vacuum up dirty water, hence it does not have a dirty water tank. The steam is only applied to the "mop" head which you spread around all over the floor with it. The steam "sanitizes" but that's it. It does not produce enough water to be vacuumed up. Since it doesn't suck up dirty water to promote cleaning- calling it a mop is dangerously close to false advertising imo and I struggle to figure out exactly what this thing does well. Tineco is the only brand I'm aware of that uses a steam mop head, while also having both clean water & dirty water tanks that allow it to both wet the floor and vacuum up dirty water.

      Thank you for watching! The pomegranate juice was dry I’m sorry I should’ve said that. But yes it works great on dry messes it got up dried jam and honey. you can put the mop on the spot with full steam for a minute or a few seconds for any stubborn spots too.

    use a painters blue tape or something on the corners and you should be fine. I am leaning towards the scrub models. While vac is nice, I think a Roomba can do that part.

      Hi, Pamela, I’m so sorry for the sound on this video my mic wasn’t very good. Yes, you can buy a carpet glider attachment that lets you use it on the carpet to lightly vacuum it and freshen it up. The extra pads I got them from Amazon I have a link to them in the description box.

      I’m sorry to hear that. I’m not home right now I would check the manual for you but if you have it there is a page for problems and possible causes check that and what they think the issue is.
      All I can think of is make sure you have water in the tank and when you select the level push the trigger button that is located inside the handle. Also check the water filter it’s located on the back of the mop check if it’s all the way pushed into the mop. You can always call Bissell too they will help you and if it’s defective they will replace it for you.

      Yes, you can turn the vacuum suction off and just use it as a steam mop or the opposite. I had a broken glass before in my kitchen I just picked up the large pieces and let the Symphony take care of the rest.

    do you vacuum and steam at the same time because I do notice hair on the floor sometime and with dust, would It be hard to clean the tank afterwards?

      No, it’s pretty simple cleaning the tank, to release the dirt/dust, simply push a button on the side of the canister...gravity does the rest. Hold the canister over the garbage can, the button releases the bottom of the canister, the dust etc. falls out of the bottom, and then you can give it a quick rinse.

      The steam is powerful. I can get all the stains off with it. I think the power fresh mop has little more steam but maybe because it has a bigger mop head.

    Hi .,, is this only good on hard floors ? Looking on vacuum steam on carpet and at the same time on hard floors too

      Not really. It works on hard floors or on very tight, very short nap carpet, like indoor/outdoor. But still a bit hard to use on thin area rugs. The mop just isn't designed to roll over a rug, and definitely would not work on regular carpet.
      I have a review video on the bissell crosswave czcams.com/video/ZtD4Nz0pIwA/video.html that one works better on area rugs but it’s not going to give you a deep cleaning though. For the carpet I find you really need a professional carpet cleaner like the bissell big green. Hope this helps.

      They don’t recommend using any products inside the unit. I just put a few drops of essential oil on the pad directly.

    Can you vacuum spilled messes with steam mop? I found a used pet pro crosswave but also ordered the pet symphony. Not sure which I should keep.

      Yes you can but for wet messes I like the crosswave better because on the symphony the vacuum is in the front of the pod so it feels like it’s vacuuming first then it’s mopping which I like, I feel it’s really designed for dry vacuuming dust and debris unlike the crosswave cleaning up spills is a breeze it’s doing the vacuuming and mopping at the same time and you have the self cleaning cycle it cleans the brush for you so you don’t have to deal with that.

      @@RoseBaby this video is so great & informative. my house is currently shopping for a new machine. I'm team steam mop vac and my dad is team crosswave. the crosswave seems so cumbersome. does the self cleaning function really do the job? love how you can just toss the mop pads in the washer. have you tried any non-bissell cleaner in the crosswave? just seems like there are machines that can get the job done for less than the almost $400 crosswave.

      Yes, because the Bissell Symphony is well-rounded unit that offers steam cleaning and vacuuming all in one and I use it a lot but every now and then for quick messes and spills the crosswave always handy for that.

      The 1543a is the pet version which includes an attachment to use their disposable SteamBoost Pads and includes a pet scent discs for the washable pads that help remove bad pet odors. Also the dirt cup is little different than this one but still has easy emptying system for pet hair!

      Bissell said this unit can work on carpets as a refresher and light vacuum but not to provide a deep clean like a carpet shampooer machines. All you will need for carpet use is the carpet glider which can be ordered separately from their website. I don’t have this attachment and yes I find it hard to move even on area rugs so I just use it on tile.

      @TheRealIronChef I don't know if it picks up pet hairs as I don't have a pet but it cleans very well. In the reviews some people said it does vacuum up pet hair. Depending on the type of pet hair (long or short) you might just have to empty the dirt cup more often. You can also check the pet model Bissell made the Symphony™ Pet All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop.

      The water tank that is in the back it’s the clean water reservoir it’s not removable. It comes with a little cup so you can fill it up and any water leftover I usually just leave it there and add to it the next time I use it.     Do you have to move that slow to vacuum and mop? Because you are moving EXTREMELY SLOW. Is it necessary to move that slow?? Is moving slowly only way to get the floor clean?

      I did that for demonstration but I usually go at normal speed when I clean my floor. It really gets the pad very hot so it picks up the dirt quickly.

      Cleaning formula is not included with this Bissell. It cleans very well with just steam. If you really want to use cleaning products you can spray the floors before you mop but they don’t recommend putting any cleaning solution inside the unit. You can also put a few drops of essential oil directly on the mop pod.

      Hi Maria, to attach the mop pad, step on the foot release for the mop pad tray and lift the unit off tray Wrap the mop pad around the bottom of the tray, and then put the mop pad tray back down on the floor and set the unit back on top until it clicks.

    Watch those bare feet when you are steam cleaning your floors!! I LOVE my machine, but have to warn you...I was wearing sandals one day when I used it and got a very bad steam burn on my big toe...a year later there's still a scar. Wear closed-toe shoes for safety!

      There is a steam button to turn it on. If you want an additional burst of steam you press on the handle where is the trigger button located and it gives you a blast! It has 2 levels of steam, high and low...turn it to 'low' and click the same button one more time and that will turn the steam off. And there’s an on and off button for the vacuum too. You can vacuum while the steam is off and you can steam mop while the vacuum is off or you can use both functions together.
