Another great video! This channel is to good to not be at 100k yet! I think Victory would approve your concrete pad! 😊
Thank you for the kind words, Victory is my favorite channel on CZcams. Some day I’ll get that 100k, patience is key they say… ✌🏻
Looking good brother.👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks brother! ✌
Concrete pad looking good! Nice work as always 💯
Thanks brother! ✌
Nice work brother I’m playing catch up on CZcams. That job came out awesome!!! You’re the man! I hope all is well with you friend!
Thanks brother! Everything is good here man, season is coming to an end and I can't wait! LOL I hope all is well with you too ✌
Thanks Chris ❤I have been doing paver patios thanks to you I always look up up for tips and trick when I’m stuck with something on the Job site I really really find helpful these vids buddy god bless you and your Crew ❤
That’s awesome to hear! Glad my videos have been helpful. Good luck in the future and God Bless! ✌🏻
Customer is going to have an awesome space when done. Love it.
Yea buddy!
Looking good. I’m a concrete guy/ landscaper so I have to say much respect for you paver guys as well. It’s all very hard work. Anytime you have to work so close to the ground on hands and knees its tough. Especially for myself being a bigger fella.
Love to watch you’re videos. Maybe will do a paver job one day. Have done some smaller stuff but not like this.
Very cool, I appreciate the feedback. I agree totally, neither is easy at all. Pavers are very fun, I’m sure you would enjoy it. ✌🏻
Any tips for retaining walls? Do you move and set the blocks with a mini ex with a thumb?
You made an excellent point about the bobcat. I would have considered one and completely overlooked that. It’s vital for me cause just like you it’s just myself and my brother doing the work and there are times I have to get out to help him lift something in our out of bucket.
Yea, it seems like a small thing but it’s really a big deal…
You might consider a ditch witch sk3000 if easy on and off is important. Full sized skid steer capacity but no cab to climb in and out of.
Thanks for all the content man! 🤛 from 🇨🇦.
Started my excavation business this year and doing a few small interlock jobs. Great tips!
My pleasure man! I appreciate the support and feedback. Good luck with your business! ✌🏻
Your the man. Been learning a lot from you. I do landscaping in the east bay but been getting into some hard scape Steve
That's awesome, glad to hear it! It is fun work that is very rewarding in many ways. Good luck with getting more projects!
Agree on the door. But they are real easy to take off
Yea, they do seem easy to remove. ✌🏻
Praying for y'all in Massachusetts with all the flooding. Videos on da back burner. See you when all this is over my friend 🙏🏼💪🏻
Thanks brother, so much rain up here this year... I appreciate the support ✌
Lmao. Shout out to Victory! 😂
Yes sir, I love his videos ✌
I usually put some sort of rebar or wire in the for reinforcement.
It was in the time lapse but I did put 5 pieces of rebar while we were pouring. Definitely gives it more strength ✌
Whenever I get a concrete job I just call my retired dad's concrete guy for the pouring and finishing. He just bosses me around and I run for stuff when I'm done driving the buggy. Lol. Old guy knows how to handle concrete like nobody's business.
🤣 Nice! That is a great friend to have right there. ✌
Neither am I ....
so on agreement about the door
Right? very frustrating...
Great workmanship.... not a big fan of the pavers.... Like the look of the ones that were used in the front walkway!!! but hey.... what do I know.... great video...
Thanks brother! Definitely a few things I don't like but the color tone is pretty cool. ✌
Will pavers not stand up to a hot tub sitting on them. I am about to start a paver deck myself and never thought about if it would hold up to a hot tub maybe in the future?? Love your work and have learned a lot from you two, will be putting it to use in the next couple weeks. Shout out to Benny as well!
Pavers could hold a hot tub but they are more likely to shift or sink than a concrete pad. So I always recommend the pad to my customers. It is just a safer bet than laying it on the pavers directly.
@@TheChristianHardscaper thanks for the reply keep up the good work
Always enjoy your videos. Thanks for the content. But nearly forgot you have a CZcams channel. So is the next video in six months?😞
Thanks man, I’m sorry for the lack of videos… lol very busy. But plenty to come! ✌🏻
@@TheChristianHardscaper does Benny help with editing? Maybe see if he'd want to pitch in if he's not already and make things a little more fluid? Just a thought.
Great workmanship. I am a landscaper but have not laid pavers without mortar before.
Would thinner pavers be suitable to lay on this base format? The pavers I have in mind are just over 3/4 inch (20mm) porcelain, your thoughts would be hugely appreciated.
Thank you. And yes, you can use this method for thinner porcelain as well but I would lay them in mortar on top of the chip stone becasue 3/4" is very thin and they may move around if you don't. The pavers I use regularly are 2-3/8" thick
Hey Kyle, excellent work, brother.
What's your reasoning for putting the hot tub on a concrete pad rather than the pavers? Hope things are going well.
John
Hey John, all is well and I hope the same for you!
I like pouring pads for hot tubs to make sure nothing will sink or shift from water wash out or the weight of the tub. You could lay it on paver’s honestly but pouring a pad just helps me sleep at night… 😂✌🏻
@@TheChristianHardscaper
Thanks, Kyle, that makes sense.
Have a good weekend!
What type of skid would you get?
I actually purchased a Kubota SVL65-2. Here is a video I made when I received it. 👉czcams.com/video/8Vmc7x9pD24/video.html
What brand is that screed level you are using? Is it 6' or 8'? We need something like this instead of our normal levels.
It is an 8" (Keson) Screed Level ✌
Did I catch a 4-way in the last few seconds?
You certainly did... good eyes. That is one of the reason I do not like these pavers that I mentioned. It is impossible to not have them... I'll explain in the next video. ✌
I figured that would be explained in the next video, but couldn’t help myself from saying something. Haha
Thanks for the content & inspiration.
As a patio guy myself we can agree that concrete is very boring and there’s not a lot to it lol. Even if you don’t say it directly (I know)😂
I am definitely way more interested in pavers and stone, that's for sure. 😉😂
Get in the bobcat and raise the shovel while your buddy washes it down. No big deal.
You don’t always have your buddy right there every time, that’s the point.
The door should slide off easily #1 you don't want to break a 1500 door either #2 it's ok you will learn.
Yea, your right. Pay $20,000 more for a machine that forces you to pull the door off to get in and out of the machine.... 👍
Bobcat prices are crazy!
@@justingreene9724They really are...LOL I think that's why the door makes me so mad. Pay top dollar to have a lot of small issues is never good. ✌
You have an instagram ?
I don’t unfortunately
Any chance we can speak for 5 minutes?
I'd Zelle you $20 just to ask a few questions.
Arrr. For gods sake Ben..stop talking so much.
🤣 ✌
