For me it resolve the problem of the return of beater on my feet. Great solution.

Why don't more companies offer middle pedals? No more righty or lefty models just one pedal model for everyone.
Offset has the patent in the US. However, drum companies can make them. I had one made by Axis Percussion. But, I'm getting an ACD!!!!

Give me some more weeks. As I mentioned the pedal in the video was the one and only I made at that time and was straight heading to Norway after the video.
This is seriously big. I've always wanted an offset/middle double pedal but they're all slow or clunky. This is the best of both worlds.
I had one made by Axis Percussion... awesome pedal the way a middle or symmetrical pedal feel is great!
I have the Offset Eclipse pedal and it's limited drive shaft needs improvement. I have to cut 2 cheap ones to make it work, and that affects the swing. Plus, somehow I feel not quite there with it yet. 😕 Thinking on selling it later on.

i have played nothing but center pedals for the last 10 years, and have played Off-Set and Slishamn. The Slishman are smooth but lack power and speed, and the Off-Set are endlessly adjustable but clunky.
I just ordered two Pearl p932 eliminators and am going to make a custom center pedal. later im going to upgrade them with the demon direct drive. I am a lefty on a righty kit and love how these pedals center you to the kit, it eliminates a lot of unnecessary torque on your back.
I made a middle pedal from two Pearl Demonator double pedal- and I love it! I love that kind of symmetrical, balanced setup, feels like arriving home :)
These pedals- and all Darwin stuff- look jaw-droppingly amazing! When I'll have the courage, I'm gonna sell my kidney and with the money I'll buy a Darwin middle pedal! :D
This looks really cool. I saw videos about middle pedals and they grasp my attention but never saw one in any store. I would really like to try one.

Looks great. I would like to see some kind of adjustable plate between main base and pedals. That way pedals have no chance of sliding forward. I know it could be sorted with velcro strip but that may create the little bit of uneven position on the floor. Just me 5 cents. Looks great thou. Good luck.
This mIght sound silly but a cable remote bass drum pedal and middle pedal double cable remote bass drum pedal for the ultimate placement flexibility. The trade off will definitely be responsiveness as I doubt you could play black metal via a cable based system but it would be an interesting experiment. There are a few companies making single bass drum cable pedals for cajon players. Also, making your middle pedal a universal add on to use 2 slave pedals from any brand would potentially sell well for those that love that symmetrical look

I've always been interested in trying a middle pedal but never had the occasion, just to check the ergonomic possibilities. This one looks great and I'm sure it works nice and smooth, but I have the impression that the center piece is too thick, and so the beaters are too separated and offset to the center of the head. I know there are many different beaters sizes and if they're too close you can't use biggest ones, but these ones seem to be of a regular size, and yet there's still too much distance between them, in my opinion. Maybe they could be closer.
Just my humble opinion and a suggestion.
I would love to try one of these....

that looks amazing! i always hate the different level of resistance there is in the slave pedal :S i just want to have equal resistance and this would achieve that! maybe you're on to something here!
The Spanish market awaits you. In Spain there are many good drummers who would amazed with your product. Among which I include myself.

Hi, what I really like about this pedal concept is the fact that you have total symmetry, and that the bass drum is perfectly located right up front in the center. BUT... the problem here is that the beaters of the pedal collide with the snaredrumstand. I don't understand why you don't pay any attention to this aspect. When you use this pedal, you can't play a snaredrum. I guess that's why this bassdrumpedal concept has never really taken off commercially.
How much are they? 🤔 Maybe I’ll even trade my adorable Trick pedals for these, although Trick has the one and only special spring in their pedals. Would not like to lose that in a trade off 😉

Great job as usual, but there is a small issue with these kind of pedals that you have to be aware of. When you use this pedal-type, you have your bass drum directly in front of you, and you have your snare directly in front of you too. That - for many drummers - created the issude of having to sit further back, so there is enough room for the snare itself, but it might be a bit too far from the comfortable position on the pedals. When you are using the "regular doublepedal" or 2 separate bass drums, the bass drum(s) angled outward a bit, so you can push the snare a bit further away from you. It was probably a dummer's height kind of a thing. I'm guessing that is one of the reasons these pedals failed to revolutionize the drumming world, because the concept itself is very very logical.
You can move the bass drum independently from the pedal position more away or closer to the snare drum so there's no need to sit too close or too far away from the snare drum. Basically you can move the snare anywhere you need because the bass drum won't be in the way.

Yes. :) I see that your design solves many issues for this kind of pedal, just saying that the issues I mentioned were among the probable reasons why these never took off in the past. Maybe this has more chance today. :)
