- Oz Holness is one of the U.K’s most respected and successful big carp anglers. He has previously held the British record, after capturing Conningbrook’s Two-Tone at 67lbs 14oz in 2007.
Following this, he has gone on to land some of the trickiest and most sought after carp around, including The Burghfield Common, Baby Black and many more.
During this episode of the podcast, he also discusses life away from fishing, including his love of surfing and his experiences while working in the fire service.
Oz is currently working as an angling consultant for thinking anglers and sticky baits. He is also the author of the successful fishing publication, Forces of Nature.

Brilliant loved every minute he's a great story teller, I'll now watch his vlogs and buy his book, good on you korda for promoting anglers not afiliated to yourselves. Hats off to you
You won’t be disappointed with the book, it’s absolutely brilliant, one of the best out there!
What a lovely, genuine and respectful person. Top drawer. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done to all responsible.
Well said pal
What a great pod cast , Oz is one of a few guys which can draw you in to the story , those 3-1/2 hrs shot by and could have listened to more , ... fantastic 👍🎣🇬🇧
Didn't even feel like 3 1/2 hours, only a few selected anglers you can listen to for ages these days brilliant korda and brilliant Oz 👊🏻
such an eloquant speaker - uses a vast selection vocabulary properly to tell wonderful stories. one of the best story tellers in modern carping.
his book was a revelation and made me transform my angling by making proper commitments towards my plans and sticking to them.
Best carp fishing podcast at the moment. Looking forward to the Tom stokes one, he needs more exposure, his two part spodcast interview was brilliant
The best bar none. Was going to watch this in 2 parts ended up watching it in one go. Met him a few times at shows and one of his talks in Birmingham proper genuine bloke who took time to speak to you even though he was mega busy. His book is outstanding it’s the only book I refuse to lend folk in case it don’t come back 😂
Loved listening to this. Such a nice fella with some great stories. Great listening to someone who's been on the lakes I've got tickets for
Must confess, didn't really know that much about Oz apart from some captures etc, but absolutely loved this and what a great guy. Much respect. Without doubt my favourite pod cast. 👌
Literally just bought Oz’s book. Can’t wait to get stuck in to it. Comes across in on here and in his session videos as a genuine bloke.!
Great interview with Oz. I love his enthusiasm..... and his ongoing dance with the proper carp waters! (And firefighters are heroes, like the NHS.)
Really enjoyable. A lovely guy, tells a great story. Loved the two tone and BC chapters in the book and the buzz is just as good on the podcast! 👍🏼
Best pod yet without fail. This boy pictures you at the scene. Amazing!

Legend of Carp fishing
Great podcast really enjoyed it, I think I should get his book.
Awesome podcast
Oz is up there with Terry in terms of story telling . Read his book , its one of the best and have been lucky enough to meet him a couple of times , lovely fella 👍
A genuinely good podcast
Brilliant bit of kit
Brilliant 👌
@oz holness , blimey greenfields , only decent fishing shop in the area , what a shop ahead of its time with displays etc . Did you fish Vauxhall lake , when was open ? Very good days back then , remember night fishing fordwhich , as a 13 yr old , under a sunflower PVC brolly and a sun bed from Argos , could bounce between westbere , fordwhich , stour and trenley in them days .when the old hands , would hide their bait when you went round to try to chat to them , generally met with a polite ish bugger off , very cloak and dagger back then .
Remember the older guys stumbling back from the fordwhich arms , with us young uns watching their kit .
Lovely memories we have from them days , which you have rekindled.
Another great podcast, many thanks Oz and Korda....but you didnt finish the broken leg story!
I've not even watched any of this yet and just know it will be 3 1/2hrs of quality.
Great podcast you could get him back on for another 3 hours top fella
Top angler, with a great attitude!
This podcast is one of the best yet, love it now get Terry hearn 👑
Incredible storytelling. Best yet in the series. (Tobe needs help getting images up faster)
Would love to have a social on the bank with Oz. Imagine the knowledge he could pass on through conversations and stories
Wouldn't that be a session and half
Only 58 minutes in and know this will be the best podcast yet. Do a lot of wakeboarding on a lake full of carp. Let me know if you fancy a trip. ;0D
Where we dangling?
Enjoyed that top angler is ozzy ...🎣👍
“ he’s got 2 2000 pound aripima that he has in a fish tank and he shows em to birds before he bangs em “ 😂😂😂🤣🤣
Ozzy😎
best one yet. great stories and experiences shared, get terry hearn on next, cant wait to here one of his amazing stories of the massive elusive monsters we all dream to catch.
I live in Kent I hope I see him on the bank one day.
Top 👍🎣
Excellent stuff, thanks very much
Geoff Bowers of ABS would be interesting.
3up 5down was always a fish I wanted to catch after seeing terry with it, I always thought it was a unique looking fish, the classic carp would be another one and obviously the common but 3up 5down would have been the one for me
i spend more time baiting than i spend fishing so maybe ill be on the successfu side of the fence like oz
Great angler great podcast 👏 but oz you got some sweaty pits lad
The host. Is it Simon? He is a breath of fresh air for korda.
Easy the best one
3 and half hours Jesus. 2 cracks at this I feel lol
Did all them carp come off ABS BAITS
Probably yes
Well he certainly had two tone on GNZ. Not sure about the BC but most probably.
This is going to be the Nuts, proper underground Angler
Not sure you understand the definition of underground
His book is brilliant
This is the button how many fish you catched this weekend
⬇️
