I'd like to see that too. I also have an order for the RP2 but, I went with the 351P as opposed to the 350M. I don't know if the higher res screen on the M is something that I'll miss out on or not. From what I've read, it's really only noticable in the menus.
@@iamnotyourbuddyGUY Panda Mimi tested a bunch of stock games in the Retroid Emulator. If you run these in any emulation app outside of the Retroid Pocket Emulator you'll experience Lag, Glitches, and Crashing.
I think the 350p is good enough for 32 bit consoles or lower. The 351 can only do 1 or 2 more consoles. It needs a lot more power, to emulate the N64, Xbox, GameCube, and some Mame and NeoGeo. I wouldn't call it 'ultimate'. The CPU inside is built on like 28nm? While currently AMLogic makes their CPUs at 12nm. We really want to see these consoles use CPUs made at 10 to 7nm for handhelds that can emulate the bigger (more modern) consoles.
All I can think about is having one of these with a carbon fiber shell and titanium buttons, and the select and start buttons be led backlit gemstones.
I'm feeling more of a temptation to trade out my RG350M for this, but I'm holding out for more shell options and especially an Android port (or whatever else that can get N64 and DC working better)

N64, Dreamcast and PSP ability is nice but the trade off for losing HDMI and a second micro SD card is NOT acceptable. I hope the RG352P will re-integrate the HDMI and have easy access to 2 micro SD cards... Well, since I'm hoping, I hope they add a 'C' and a 'Z' button, that the shoulder buttons will be in a above-below config rather than a side-by-side config, and that it will be able to play Game Cube and PS2 as well. ...And we're getting so close that eventually people won't be able to tell me, "PS2 emulation on a portable device?! bigemugamer you're living in a fantasy world" anymore. =D
@MBTM89I can imagine it, because I use to not be able to imaging N64, PSP, Dreamcast or Game Cube on these devices... now it's real... and only getting better. =D I'm currently getting back into emulation gaming via android phones I own (they got the chipsets for it!) my current one that plays N64, dreamcast and psp is my OLD Samsung A5 I use with a wired X-box 360 controller. I'm up for renewing my contract with my cell phone provider and am considering getting a (not to old) Samsung A10 JUST for emulation game play and are also contemplating getting a Flydigi Wee2T, I usually get last years phone on a deal. though i need to research PS2 emulation on android hand sets a bit more. This has finally pushed me to acquire the PSP rom collection to add to my collection.
@MBTM89 The GPD line of devices ARE impressive and I have considered them, but those prices.... I use to own an Xperia Play which was basically my very first handheld gaming device, I loved it and was quite saddened when I lost it after only owning it for a year. I did a bit of emulation on an Acer Iconia A501 which could run ocarina of time a tad bit better than the Xperia Play but not much, I have not done much emulation gameplay on my google nexus 2 due to it ONLY having 16 GB on board memory and NO expansion slot (it was a gift a week before losing my Xperia Play) as for my current cell phone the Samsung A5 it plays N64 and dreamcast like a pro, but Star wars rogue squadron 2 runs very choppy on it (not surprising, I SHOULD try something far less demanding) and I tried Disgaea for PS2 and it was also to choppy to be playable. I'm currently about to upgrade to the Samsung S10 (released feb 2019) and am anxious as to see how game cube and PS2 will run. (need a new phone but don't like shelling out for the NEWEST model) ** just looking at mobile processors... the S10 only has: Chipset Qualcomm SDM630 Snapdragon 630 (14 nm) CPU Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53 GPU Adreno 508 Not... to good. =/ Since 2005 I have used various laptops for portable emulation gameplay to great success AND admiration by my peers for that technical ability, nowadays I enjoy my RG350 for 'up to PS1' game play on the go or beside my love when she is sleeping at night so as not to disturb her, I also use a Pi3b+ in a nesPiCase+ with 4 wired X-box 360 controllers, but as far as N64 and 128 bit gaming (6th gen consoles, dreamcast, game cube & PS2) and mabey PSP and some Wii, I'm hoping to see an Experimental PiBoy for the Pi5 boards that will inevitably come out. my interest in emulation gameplay does not proceed beyond 6th gen consoles (with a bit of PSP and Wii thrown in) as that was the final era of console gaming for me due to being introduced to PC gaming specifically Battlefield 1942 in 2003 which led me to buy my first PC from... either Best Buy or Future Shop (can't remember as both stores were directly beside each other) on boxing day that same year.

I'm still waiting for someone to release an x86 system in this formfactor so I can play emulators and also steam indie games. There are so many retro games on steam that draw inspiration from plenty of the 2d games we grew up with. I'm surprised we aren't seeing a market full of those systems.
So basically, amazing feel, resolution quality screen but outdated software. It’s a good thing these China emulators always make newer models after a few months. Once it’s updated I’ll definitely purchase it then! I want it so much right now lol. Wait for 2021

In your opinion, is this better than the 350M? I had a 350M and gave it to my brother, after I ordered the 351P. It keeps having issues during shipping, so haven't gotten it yet. I see so many people complaining about the screen, but I don't think I'll mind stretching the games a bit on it. I mean I play games on my big screen fully stretched, and don't mind at all. Agreed, RP2 is really setting the bar for these low cost devices. I still have no clue why they went for a 3x2 screen on this thing when the vast majority of games will the 4x3. Kinda kills the whole thing for me.
@@RobledoAndrew It really depends, do you want a retro handheld or a Retro/Android device. If you stick to the Retro part play N64, DC, and PSP in the Retroid app. If you play these games outside the Retroid app you may experience lag, glitches, or crashing. Also you can't map controls to the analog sticks in the Retroid App. The Android part is underdeveloped so it a complete luck of the draw if any games work. Oceanhorn, Bomb Chicken, and Retro City Rampage DX all work out of the box. Any other games is up to luck.

Nice review love the "there are no emu's in the white and black that dont suck comment " cause truth been looking and this one is by far the best
I gotta say, these retro handhelds are getting upgrades at an incredibly rapid pace right now. There's a lot of product out this year too. Taki, do you think there's a danger of market saturation here?
I would love to see you do a video comparing the RG351 and the RP2. I do have an RG350M and an order in on the RP2 but I wonder if I should have gone with the RG351. I do play a lot of GBA games but I would also like to play some N64.
Ditto
I'd like to see that too. I also have an order for the RP2 but, I went with the 351P as opposed to the 350M. I don't know if the higher res screen on the M is something that I'll miss out on or not. From what I've read, it's really only noticable in the menus.
Great suggestion!
✌️😁
Panda Mimi has that video
@@iamnotyourbuddyGUY Panda Mimi tested a bunch of stock games in the Retroid Emulator. If you run these in any emulation app outside of the Retroid Pocket Emulator you'll experience Lag, Glitches, and Crashing.
You say it's a perfect GBA device...but what if I just want to play PS1 RPGs? Is this the best on the market?
I think you might wanna look to the retroid pocket 2 for Ps1 RPGS
"there are three colours but I have only these two " man you flex hard
That wasn't intended to be a flex :[
How?
He also ends up giving the extra ones away.
@@TakiUdon does it run MSDOS? i have been looking for a handheld that runs elder scrolls arena, i was gonna get one for Christmas.
Seems very interesting! Personally gonna stick with my GPD XD, LDK Landscape and newly aquired Retroid Pocket 2 though.
I'm always tempted to buy more devices cause of Taki's reviews XD. Still rocking the og RG350 for now.
I see golden sun , I subscribe
I'm feeling more of a temptation to trade out my RG350M for this, but I'm holding out for more shell options and especially an Android port (or whatever else that can get N64 and DC working better)
Brightness is a log scale, so that is probably a programming oversight in which you control intensity instead of brightness
Taki! Correction: the GBA is the ultimate GBA handheld! 😜
Dan. Stop it. Go home. Rethink your life. And eat your goddamn breakfast.

If F-Zero Climax and Golden sun aren't slowed down as most of devices, that device could be interesting.
Thanks for the screen demo I had heard alot n u r the first to actually demonstrate it n now I see clearly so thumbs up
To me it's the battle between the RGB10, RG351p and the Retroid Pocket 2... I'm leaning towards RGB10 🤔
I'm currently getting back into emulation gaming via android phones I own (they got the chipsets for it!) my current one that plays N64, dreamcast and psp is my OLD Samsung A5 I use with a wired X-box 360 controller.
(need a new phone but don't like shelling out for the NEWEST model)
** just looking at mobile processors... the S10 only has:
Chipset Qualcomm SDM630 Snapdragon 630 (14 nm)
CPU Octa-core 2.2 GHz Cortex-A53
GPU Adreno 508
Not... to good. =/
Since 2005 I have used various laptops for portable emulation gameplay to great success AND admiration by my peers for that technical ability, nowadays I enjoy my RG350 for 'up to PS1' game play on the go or beside my love when she is sleeping at night so as not to disturb her, I also use a Pi3b+ in a nesPiCase+ with 4 wired X-box 360 controllers, but as far as N64 and 128 bit gaming (6th gen consoles, dreamcast, game cube & PS2) and mabey PSP and some Wii, I'm hoping to see an Experimental PiBoy for the Pi5 boards that will inevitably come out. my interest in emulation gameplay does not proceed beyond 6th gen consoles (with a bit of PSP and Wii thrown in) as that was the final era of console gaming for me due to being introduced to PC gaming specifically Battlefield 1942 in 2003 which led me to buy my first PC from... either Best Buy or Future Shop (can't remember as both stores were directly beside each other) on boxing day that same year.
lol good gawd I post long novels, enjoy the read? =P
Great review as always! Would you recommend the RG351p over the RG350p? I want to play a lot of GBA games, but I also want to play lots of pre 1999 arcade games (Capcom, Sega). Love to know your opinion. Thank you!
Still waiting for one of these handhelds to pack enough punch to run PS2 era games
Cellphones that can run ps2 games are around 500 dollars if not more, so you have that
hello can you tell me if Pokemon hs and alpha sapphire runs smoothly on this device? or is it laggy? thank you very much
The only thing that makes this better than the retroid pocket 2 is that you might get it less than 3 months after you order it.
yea it took me a longgggg ass time to get my retroid pocket 2
I'm still waiting for someone to release an x86 system in this formfactor so I can play emulators and also steam indie games. There are so many retro games on steam that draw inspiration from plenty of the 2d games we grew up with. I'm surprised we aren't seeing a market full of those systems.
i prefer the retroid pocket 2 with the stackt shoulder buttons but i prefer this one with the sticks on the bottom so the only thing now is the price
So basically, amazing feel, resolution quality screen but outdated software. It’s a good thing these China emulators always make newer models after a few months. Once it’s updated I’ll definitely purchase it then! I want it so much right now lol. Wait for 2021
is there a list of the games that come with it pre installed?
Hey Taki,
What kind of screwdriver do you use to open these?
It ATE my memory card. I was playing with the SD, tried to put it into the system, and it vanished. I can hear it rattling around inside. It looks like a small octagon screwdriver.
Love your channel btw, thanks in advanced.
Sorry I'm getting confused, are the rg351 and rg 351p the same? If not what's different about them? Also is their a rg350p? Gosh I'm confused!
I bet GBA Rayman looks sweet on that device
In your opinion, is this better than the 350M? I had a 350M and gave it to my brother, after I ordered the 351P. It keeps having issues during shipping, so haven't gotten it yet. I see so many people complaining about the screen, but I don't think I'll mind stretching the games a bit on it. I mean I play games on my big screen fully stretched, and don't mind at all. Will I most likely be fine with this then?
Just seeing way too much negativity on this, but I'm glad your vid is positive.
Just ordered this bad boy.
Got mines sunday. So disappointed. I thought it was gonna b good.
@@gersonestrada4805 what happened I’m trying to buy one of these
@@bigdonut1308 if you want the real game experience this is not for u. You will notice so many things out of place. I compared some games on the handheld and youtube walkthroughs so many differences. Its painful. Mli was excited when i get this quickly turned into disappointed. And btw ds games not meant for these handhelds.
I would still buy a PSP go. they are super cheap, super handy, look great and play everything up to the PSP. almost anything goes except for Nintendo DS games. But there are still people who work on it in the homebrew field. : D but I love your reviews
I might be alone with this but i dont think the stretched image looks that bad on supernintendo at least
I love my RG351Ps (I got a couple of them) but the one thing I don't like is how close the select button is to the up joypad. I have exited out of a game a few times because of accidentally hitting select when I meant to press UP because my fingers are so big it hits both at the same time.
If you want to play PSX and PSP get a PS Vita and mod it. It can play pretty much anything perfectly and there is an upscale hack for the PSP that is in beta to make PSP games look almost as good as Vita games.
I got mine a week ago and I am extremely happy with it!
Only I am not able to find any information about - are you able to use Retroarch recording/streaming feature?
It crashes immediately if I try to start recording :)
This review is great, I've been looking for a about this device to decide between this and the Retropocket 2, bought are very good in my opinion.
Thanks for your hard work and please keep going.
✌️😁
which are you getting?
I don't know yet, it just found out that Retropocket 2 has a significant shipping cost 😬
Fabio Bezerra only $10
@@RobledoAndrew it charged me 25 Euro to send to Germany 🤷
Why did i get rid of my PSP?
I had THE GAMES
madden
Fifa
Uefa champions
Killzone liberation
Twisted metal Head on
Etc....
Taki is the godfather of handheld pocket emulation
this handheld is definitely worth all my money 👌
I have the all black one .. but I don’t have legend of Zelda ocarina of time .. and it doesn’t save files they’re always deleted weather I save through the game or save state etc
Love the d pad on top.
Warioware twisted doesnt seem to work in 351 elec, is there a gyro on this device??
No
I was going to order a Retroid Pocket 2, but now I think I might like rocking that one as well... decisions decisions.
Glad I waited!
should i get this or the retroid pocket 2?
Can u use game shark codes, also does this have or do you know of any that have yugioh forbidden memories?
I love the rg351p even though I just got a rg350m. I need to gorge myself on the high res display before grabbing a rk3326 device.
It doesn't seem that much better.
U really like this better than the retroid pocket 2?. I have a rg350 and a gpd xd plus
Hello.
I just vant to ask what is your recomend henadheld to play psp(god of war, dante's inferno, warhammer40k), ds/3ds(ghost recon, the sims) and retro nes/smes game. Rg351 or retroid pocket 2 or anything pocket friendly? :)
Yay Cannot wait to see
Awesome video as always
This or retroid pocket 2. Which one is your preferred choice?? I'm torn between the two
Does Mortal Kombat 3 runs good ? I just noticed this handheld console only 4 days ago and i want to know if you recommend me the $100 or wait to buy a new anbernic entry ? Cause i've been reading that most want a new anbernic console with a better screen.
If one's passion is primarily 2D gaming, would you go with this, or go with the RG350P? Are the drawbacks to the 351P bad enough to downgrade to the 350P if one's only playing SNES/MegaDrive/GBA?
@Taki Udon i still happen to wonder if the RG351 Can run Banjo Tooie you only showed Banjo Kazooie i mean based off of you showing kazooie i assume banjo tooie works as well..?
I already have the RG350 but, watching this makes me want one 😱 I haven't even used it much over the past few months
This looks nice, but more of a sideways step as opposed to a step forward. Can't see it being an upgrade to my metal RG350.
How's life in China, Taki? Life is good, up here in Northern China.
Really good, can't complain :)
is there a way to play the original gameboy games with colors ? like the super gameboy on the snes

Still for the price ill stick with the rp2 android 8.1 by the end of the month #Hype
Agreed, RP2 is really setting the bar for these low cost devices. I still have no clue why they went for a 3x2 screen on this thing when the vast majority of games will the 4x3. Kinda kills the whole thing for me.
Yeah the RP2 is still going to be shitty by Android 8.1. 😒
@@CrossingRover I hope not! The Retroid Pocket 2 doesn't do half the stuff it advertises.
Pridetoons aka Afro Lion i just bought the retroid pocket 2, did i make a mistake? 😞
So far I have enjoyed watching your video. Do you know any reseller on amazon. Sorry I am picky about using alixpress
Do you know if games disappear from favorite folder once you turn device off?
Nice review! Did want to ask if this device still supports Streets of Rage Remake like the RG350 did?
I don't believe that has been ported over yet
The WiFi versions sold out... :(
I hope Anbernic makes a version of this handheld with Android instead.
Is there a WiFi version? On the link he provided, all of them, included the ones that are sold out, mentions the WiFi module.
what is better RG351p or Retroid pocket 2? the pocket have android and its 20$ cheaper
