The most underrated surf vid of the late 80's early 90's. Right up there with Filthy Habits, Pump, Search 1 and 2. Somehow this one went under the radar to the cheesy Bunyip Dreaming and Green Iguana
such a great classic film. this is what surfing was to me. this and endless summer II haven't seen this in 15 or more years. have goose bumps on first section. i hope my kid gets into surfing like I did to re-live this beauty of a thing called surfing. still surf but I would love to have a re-birth like this video made me feel in the beginning. but if he doesn't surf he will just fish with me :) thank you Shred Caster for posting Oh BTW i came here for Occy's section in france to see surfing to a Nirvana song. Thanks Erikson! I had a long story about this video I wanted to post in the description but I was fumbling with words and self consciousness. This video defined surfing for me and came out either just before or at the same time as KS in Black and White. I remember as a kid thinking I had to choose from stylish carve surfing and tail slide / flick turns. I chose the former. I spent a bit of money getting this vhs with the sole purpose to post it on CZcams as a piece of surfing history. Makes me so stoked that you liked it.

I'm sure he is.. RIP Derek please share what this video meant to you or if its just a particular memory or whatever. i'd say it was just pure love for me.. like a first love thing that can't necessarily be recreated.. but like i said if my kids feel this way about surfing in a few years then i'm sure that will be close enough. i literally would watch this all winter the year we got it an practice surfing on the couches and on rugs and my carpeted steps. i lived 2 hours from the beach at the time... so i definitely went like 4 months or more not surfing after my first time learning
