Thanks Phil for sharing your great little diesel heater I’m looking at putting in one myself, in the caravan. Keep up the great work mate, can’t wait to see it in person.

The black rubber fuel line is for joining only. You need the hard plastic fuel line to go all the way to the motor intake, Before and after the filter and pump. Cut a 40mm section of black rubber fuel line to join every section of the fuel line. The black rubber is too soft to be any extended part of the run and that "Give" will cause fuel feed problems.

I’m following the manual. The black fuel lines are pre cut to length.
I will keep an eye on them

Phil, have you insulated the fuel pump and fuel filter from the cold. Rapping it in an old rag or insulation . Soon, if it gets really cold, the diesel will turn to soap. The heater will not start.

I was thinking about using an additive like Flashlube Diesel Winter Formula.
I need to see if it’s ok to use on diesel heaters

@PhilsCampingReviews Phil, you also need to crank open one window open a little. I have the one above .you head where I sleep. I have found I have very little mould growth. It opens just a bit bigger than a base of a cup. The little bigger than the vent. The fan in the heater is small. You do not want to pressurise your area. Then you get carbon build-up in the heater.

@@PhilsCampingReviews yes mate, you can use an additive. We use it all the time in the Victorian High country in our diesel heater. Works perfectly.

@@darrenc4096 Which additive do you use?

@@PhilsCampingReviews I’ve use Penrite, Flashlube and also Winter Mix straight from the fuel stations in the Alpine region. Had zero problems with any mate. Just stick to the instructions on your mix and all should be fine. 👍🍺
